Jan 1, 2024Cane Creek - Air IL - 190x45
$400 USDCane Creek - Air IL - 190x45 BAD2617. Powered by DB Twin Tube technology, IL gives a super wide range of 4-way damping adjustability and uses 30% more oil volume in the damper compared to other inline shocks. Stock-level suspension makes all kinds of concessions to suit the larger market, and when the amount of rear travel is already minimal, IL is perhaps the most noticeable upgrade you can make to your bike’s performance.
Four-way independent adjustment Specialized (Stumpjumper) hardware installed.
Climb Switch & integrated tool
Thicker inner damper tube for increased strength
17mm reduction in overall width on the valve body to increase fitment possibilities on tight frames
6mm reduction in the outer diameter of the air spring to further increase the likelihood of fitment
Increased max psi pressure up to 350psi (Up from 300psi)
MSRP $629.99 ASKING $400.00. I decided to go a different direction on a current project. Buyer pays Paypal fee and shipping via Pirate Ship (reasonably cheap).

"Sad it Had to Come to an End" - Greg Minnaar Features on Santa Cruz's 'The Roller Door' Podcast
Sponsorships are an image-enhancing tool. They enhance how a brand is perceived. It is important when influencing the opinions of consumers and influencing buying behaviors.
The Syndicate is the perfect example of this. The team legitimized Santacruz's image with the masses. Non-race fans don't even know it, but the overall image and reputation of the brand is a result of sponsorships among other things. It is marketing basics. Racers directly (less) and indirectly (more) help sell bikes 100% of the time.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Brook Macdonald on MSA, and What He Needs to Ride at His Best
@polskidrifter: Stumpy carbon, I got the frame for 44% off. I’ve been eyeballing light weight trail bikes for a while and figured I’d put my money where my mouth is when complaining about build spec values. That new SCOR really peaked my interest until I saw the pricing.

The Pinkbike Podcast: Brook Macdonald on MSA, and What He Needs to Ride at His Best
Pretty much everyone over ordered product/material from shut down factories due to the covid buying boom and parts shortage. Now that the boom is over they are in crisis mode. Old stock they can’t sell and inflated prices that won’t hold up due to market saturation. It’s corporate greed and a failure to forecast realistically. I don’t get how they (companies) expected the ceiling to infinitely rise. However, I am building a killer trail bike right now for what seems like pennies on the dollar, but it’s more likely I’m getting an actual fair price.
On a positive note the podcast has been great lately! Quinny has been awesome.
