Brandon Semenuk destroys the field again with his final run that included a back flip onto the fruit bowl, and a front flip on the final kicker.

1st - Brandon Semenuk 95.67
2nd - Granieri Yannick 88.67
3rd - Martin Soderstrom 85.33

* Cam McCaul had a bad crash doing a front flip off the fruit bowl and it is suspected that he broke his femur - more details to come.*

 Depending on just how bad the break is he could be out well over 6 weeks minimum. I broke one of mine in highschool and couldn't do squat for 9 weeks.

 i'm pretty sure that a femur break is basically one of the worst you can have...

but personally I'm pretty stoked on the "shattiness" of this contest...i mean when crankworx colorado snaked in a week before the "real" crankworx, that was garbage since whistler is the biggest and best known contest there is. Expecting riders to go out and throw down like they would a week later is an asinine assumption imo. PS just saw the boneyard on thursday and it's looking pretty pimp! there's some sick features. now if only cam would've been there throwing a sick front flip off the showtime booter for the crowd... Frown

 there is tons of tricks he can't do that many other riders do, and he rides with little amplitude. he's a kid with talent who is lucky enough to live in the best place in the world to develop that talent. Why is there a bunch of dudes on this site who are like in love with the guy. IMO there are many other riders that are much better to watch. I'd rather watch claw throw down some burl, then semenuks lazy flowery robot riding any day.

 double flip, flip bar, frontflip variations, that flip seatgrab indian air thing, crazy flatspins, his three tucks are crap (see nwd10), i haven't seen him do a 3 downside whip or a decade, double truck, truckdriver combos, there are more. Again these are tricks i havent heard of or seen the guy do. The point is I don't care what tricks he can do, i don't see what the big draw is to him as an athlete, I see far better role models and even better riders to look up to in the sport.

 HA! YOU FOOL! brandon is probably one of the nicest guys ive met and not alot of riders do those tricks and im pretty sure he can do flip bars and just doesnt he is trying frontie variations to foam annnnnnd he has the most style of anybody and his effort is 110% so shut ur mouth

 Brrider, ive seen him do perfect doouble trucks to foam, and if he can almost frontie bar, im sure he can flip bar, altho he doesnt do ryan howard style 3's he dumps them better than anyone. and most pples 3 tucks look like crap on mtb. as far as riding a slopestyle contest, u dont need SUPER huge tricks that no one else can do, as long as u line up failry tech tricks one after another, with the style and smoothness he shows, u will win slope contests. its not about who can throw one super banger trick like a double flip or something. and why would u not want to watch someone who is super dialed and smooth shred? its super sweet when he lines stuff up imo.

I don't care what tricks he learns or can do... and obviously his effort is 110% he is one of the best slopestyle competitors in the world. I didn't say he wasn't a nice guy either, i'm sure he's just your average kid, but apparently he's like "one of the nicest guys i've met". I figured i'd draw out a defensive fanboy like you, because there are just so many kids that are just like "OMG semenuk is god and I {> him". I don't get it though is it because he's a "cool playa" and doesn't really show emotion when out in public so he seems tough or something. You'd probly be real happy if he was in a jay z video or something just being all uber cool just chillin in the background eh. I dunno why people get so worked up over athletes like they do and why they get worked up over the ones that they do. I think people need to get over the image people have associated with them and realize that semenuk is not god he just like you and me only he is better at riding bikes. He seems to be a very average guy with nothing extraordinary about him other than his bike riding ability. Honestly, me even saying all this is silly, and i don't think brandon gives a crap what people think because he is living the life, so why do you care what i say about him ?

 i wasn't worked up at all until i was called a fool and then told to shutup by the exact type of fanboy that annoys me. How can i not take someone disagreeing with my views when i don't even have a view to begin with. Me not understanding what is so amazing about some dude is not a view. If your talking about me thinking that there are better riders than semenuk then you clearly did misread/misunderstood what i was saying. I do not give two craps who can do the biggest flipwhip or whatever the hell, i just enjoy watching it. Jealous of what, he's better than i will ever be just straight up has more talent, buddy i don't care if your grandma is better at riding bikes than me. My point about amplitude is that it seems like he is always riding conservatively and within his limits and you'd never know if he was actually cranking it up a notch and doing something risky or if its something he's been trying into foam for the last year. I'd just rather watch the guys that throw down all the way down the course and then go crazy at the end. Eg. cam zink he gets my respect because he went for it and i bet he was both crapping himself and having the time of his life popping off that lip knowing he was going to try something that he didn't have on %100 lock in a big contest like that.

 Brandon isn't my favorite rider out there, I was hoping for someone else to win... but there really is no reason to care whether people are stoked about him or not. People are allowed to choose who they are fans of and to what degree they show it. With that being said, I have to admit that Brandon really did deserve to win. He stepped it up huge and came out with a great run. He also raised the bar to a point where other riders were stepping outside their comfort level to try take that top spot away from him, which is one reason why we saw many crashes this year. So like the guy or not, he raises the bar for not just himself, but for everyone competing. And in the end, that means a more exciting contest to watch for all the spectators.

 yeah brandon won this contest for sure, and i'm not hating on the guy. Me sharing my opinion on the fact that i'd rather watch people other than brandon and stating that he doesn't have all the tricks in the world, and me questioning why everyone hearts him and thinks he's god got blown out of proportion. People are allowed to choose who they are fans of and to what degree they show it but not to the point when they can insult someone else and tell them to shutup, which is how alot of semenuk fans are in my experience. you say one negative thing and they get all defensive and the world is ending. I'm not annoyed with people being fans, i'm annoyed with aggressive obsessive fans who discredit others opinions, it's like the semenuk gestapo. how does brendan not have frontflips on lock if he's really close on frontie barspins trekiscool?

 The front flip he landed at Crankworx Colorado was his 2nd ever to dirt. He's trying front flip barspins in the foam pit. But last I saw he pretty close in the foam but hasn't landed on dirt.
