Over this past weekend a talented crew of riders and builders gathered in Uptown with no adult supervision - with a mini-ex, a skidsteer, the keys to the county water truck (
given to us by the mayor who is married to Knievel's daughter), piles of good, free dirt and a whole bunch of imagination.
We set out to build a DH course with no real oversight or rules. It's roughly 1.3 miles long with 500 feet of elevation drop. Out of civic pride a neighbour near the course offered up his broke down Camaro to jump over - so we drug it out of his yard and built a gap over it. My face still hurts from grinning all day.
Holy crap - it's going to be outrageous. It's legit, FAST and cheesy. Nothing ever like it before - and perhaps never again. Full commando productions with the city's blessings. Oh yeah, there will be a pit of rattlesnakes with a hip jump over it...
