Norco Truax, size large
$900 CAD2012 Norco Truax, size large. 180mm travel (7”) coil suspension front and rear. Well used, but still in good condition. One of the few true freeride bikes, awesome for parks and heavy terrain. Stays super planted over bumps of any size, and soaks up big hits, but is still manageable pedalling uphill. Includes Rockshox Totem RC coil fork, Fox Van R coil shock, Avid Elixir R brakes. Front derailleur and fork would need a service, but drivetrain, rear shock and brakes are in good condition. Frame has scratches and wear points from cable routing, but no structural damage.
Good bike for someone looking for a bike that can handle heavier terrain, without breaking the bank on something new.

MUST WATCH: Dylan Sheffer - Freeride Lives II
Thanks for the heads up on the Banshee Darkside and the Transition TR500 by a couple of you. Pretty hot bikes. I was more kind of wondering what happened to the freeride models that seemed to vanish about two years ago, such as the Giant Faith, and the Norco Truax. These had beefy frames, supple 7" coil suspension, were about 38lbs, but still had two chainrings so that if you have to pedal your *ss up your local mountains, it doesn't kill you. My Truax will die some day, and there seems to be nothing in that niche to fill its shoes anymore, unless one eases off to an enduro bike, or steps up to something closer to a downhill rig (Darkside or Transition). If I'm missing bikes in this niche, or am just "not keeping up with evolution", point me in the right direction or tell me to get with it!

MUST WATCH: Dylan Sheffer - Freeride Lives II
If only the bike industry still believed freeride lives forever and brought back some more decent 7" coil bikes to fill the gap between the ultra-lightweight 6" air-shock bikes and the super beefy 8" downhill rigs. (Unless the new carbon downhill bikes are supposed to fill that role?). Rise from the ashes freeride videos!

Happened across Loam Line about 2 weeks ago. Have been back to ride it 3 times since! Amazing! It's like you I guys built a Whistler run out there! Everything is perfectly buffed, and all the geometry of the jumps is bang-on and consistent. You did an amazing job and a service to the biking community. It is a real treat. Thank you!
