Video: Chris Akrigg - Five
Such a fucking badass. He's been a massive inspiration to me as long as I've been riding, from his old trials noir sections up to this. And on the topic of bike handling, he stopped riding trials competitions because he got bored, and they wouldn't let him ride without a brake, no normal person would even think about it, and we all know he would have won too!

Opinion: Who Owns a Trail?
Im on the builders side of this discussion, and I although I dont have a problem with anyone turning up riding anything I build, there are certain things that will always piss me off. If someone turns up will im working on a section of track and moans, or even worse, tries to ride the section im working on. I will always say hi to anyone I see riding down the trails and they straight up ignore me. Last but no means least is anyone that cant ride a track and decides to try and change anything. At the end of the day there are people willing to put the work in and people that aren't, as I said, I have no problem people riding what I choose to build, but anyone that moans about a track ive spent months building in shit weather can go fuck themselves.

Sam Hill Signs With Team CRC/Nukeproof
CRC are the largest bike shop in the world, they can easily afford his wages, especially as they just dropped 3 of their riders to bring him in. Best of luck to both of them though, it's just a matter of who takes his place at specialized?

The Argument For Short Travel Bikes - Opinion
I've only ever ridden 100mm travel full sus bikes or hardtails, pretty much hardtails though, would take a solid, well set up hardtail anyday on 90% of the terrain I ride.

5.10 / Danny Hart: Hart and soul Part 1
He still got 4th overall at the end of the season, 2 second places in fort william and val di sole (correct me if im wrong there), thats an amazing season for a 19 year old, whatever way you look at it. Gwin has got atleast 5 years on him in terms of fitness and overall stamina, so you cant compare them, and at worlds gwin was still 2 seconds down on him at the first split. Also a big shout out to 5.10 for putting this together, its nice seeing something that isnt a straight up bit of PR from a company, just proper recognition of one of their riders.

Cube reaction gtc pro 2010 20"

$700 GPB
The reason for selling is due to moving and not having the room to keep it, its been stored in my dads garage for the best part of a year now and figure its time to give it a decent home. I dont have any pictures at the moment but will e-mail them to anyone interested. The spec can be found here - http://www.thebikelist.co.uk/cube/reaction-elixir-r-2010 The spec there lists avid brakes although it actually has Formula Rx brakes. And due to an unfortunate incident on my pumptrack bike it doesnt come with the standard back wheel, but a sun singletrack/shimano deore. Considering the condition of the bike and what little use its had, i think im fair in asking for £700 collected from Braintree, Essex. Id rather not post it if possible.

Brendan Fairclough moves on from Monster Energy / Specialized
If the athertons are moving it will be to a team that have a solid all-mountain/enduro bike for dan to race aswell as a good dh bike for gee and rach, as theres no chance he'll be back on the dh circuit next year, and they'll also have to have enough money to support brand atherton, as it isnt just them racing, its a team manager, 2 mechanics, a guy for physio and a proper doctor amongst other people helping out. so really its down to trek, gt, spesh or commencal, as there the only companys with the budget and bikes. As for brendog, scott 11 all the way, they're a very big company in europe, have a decent team as it is, with florian being on the podium most races, they're just missing a top male up on the podium, they already have a wc team so adding another guy isnt gonna damage the bank too much, and having someone like him on the team is gonna sell shit-loads of gamblers/voltages, so theres gonna be a nice bonus in it for him come the end of the season.

Brendan Fairclough moves on from Monster Energy / Specialized
No surprise really, it was only a matter of time before he wanted to be the top guy on a team, first below minnar, and then hill. And funilly enough i can see him going to scott, european based team, as apposed to being so far away from the monster specialized team.

He did a suicide over the road gap aswell, in an interview earlier in the season, he admitted that if he was off the pace he didnt give a shit so was more than happy to go throwing no-handers and some tables down mid-run just to entertain the fans! He is one of the only proper superstars to come from our sport!
