by California Enduro Series
Round three of the California Enduro Series took place at Toro Park near the Monterey Peninsula on the central coast Saturday, May 28. It was humid in the trees and scorching in the open space, but conditions didn't stop the competitors from challenging themselves on some of the loosest conditions the series has seen thus far. No stranger to 1st place in the series, Amy Morrison is on a roll in the Pro Women's Category. However, the Pro Men's field saw a new top step finisher – Dillon Santos of the Two Old Men and a Kid Team – who took his very first victory and second podium for the series.

Keith kicked down and split his winning. For the spped trap cash prize, which was rad. What was even cooler was seeing him climb PAST the top of the brutal stage 3 climb to approach some hikers. "Oh boy.." I thought to myself, always unsure of what might come out of his mouth. Turns out he wanted to take a moment to thank them for sharing the trails and see how they felt about shared trail use. They were excited to see the race and impressed with the range of riders abilities and ages. Keith explained that we put a lot of work into the trails to negate any impact the race had. It was awesome to see this interaction and was probably the highlight of my day.
