Awesome riding there. Some pretty big jumps going on especially for an all mountain bike.
Would like to know when y Mynydd du track and Twrch trail reopen ?

I've just gone on fb and searched Cwmcarn trail centre and forest drive. I'm guessing one of those ?

There was talk of the Twrch opening up in January but I very much doubt it. There are new signs by the Tollbooth and the Henllys side saying all closed until mid 2017. Don't forget the trails will need rebuilding at various points so it could be 2018 if we're unlucky! There's also talk of the Forest drive road never reopening due to council cuts - the place is owned by Caerphilly County Borough Council not the FC. Feel sorry for the lads running CwmDown as they've been royally screwed over by all this.

Y Mynydd track doesn't need any rebuilding and Twrch only needs rebuilding in 2 short sections so hopefully it won't take too long

Twrch needs massive rebuilding - everything up until Castle valley is knackered. I had to walk/push over it the other day to get back to Cwmbran side. Most of where the trail used to be is unrecognisable, not 100% sure how long that would take.

I rode it last week and there was one part that was roughly 300 mtrs and another 100 mtrs which you couldn't ride. Wouldn't take long to sort out at all.

@JoeHickers, @Blaenavonbutt - Please don't ride or walk the trail, it's closed off for a reason! If people flout the exclusion zones then when the Cafall side is felled they are more likely to close off more of it for longer. I cannot say how I know but the future of Cwmcarn is balancing on an edge, 50/50 at best so we don't want to do anything like trespass to annoy the felling company or the council.

Hi will great video must get up there you make it look like a fun track to ride for sure!!!! Could you please post up as to what bike you are riding as I'm sure it's the 2008 specialized pitch with fox 36 that year you are riding in your other video of bike park Wales if I'm not mistaken!! My friend is soo sure your on a slash which I know in my bones it's not please please help a buddy out and post up so I can shut this little man up!!!! Many thanks in advance Peace out

Hey @silverfox101010 thanks for the positive comments :-D Bad news though - I AM riding a Trek Slash for Team BikePark Wales at the moment, the old Pitch was put out to pasture a while back!

Great video, I love Cwmcarn and Bike park Wales, staying in Brecon and getting pissed. The gap ride is great but black mountain classic is hard core.
