The Argument For Short Travel Bikes - Opinion
Like riding my 150mm bike the most often but the big bike gets a fair bit of play, and will stay in the stable as it can take a pounding. Full on DH bike has the benefit of lasting alot longer under a less skilled rider in tough conditions. I'm quite fortunate in being able to have a handful of bikes, and If i was limited to one it would be a short travel/all mountain/ what evever you'd like to call it bike, but I do like the feeling of riding a big travel bike as it allows me to play, where a shorter travel bike would allow me to just survive (and the bike would die beneath me sooner)

Yeti's Chris Conroy Talks About SB 66 Switch Suspension
I'm close to a year on a sb66 and can say it's a pretty impressive bike. I have had some issues, but Yeti and the shop i bought it from have been quite good about getting it sorted. It is definately different than other suspension systems, but I like it alot, and find it really likes to be pushed to get them most out of it, if you're lazing about it dosent feel spectacular, its when you hammer it it really gives you the oh wow moment, which is reverse to some other bikes I've ridden which start to get hung up and weird when pushed too hard. But to each their own.

A Tour Of Rotwild With Richie Schley
That porsche bike retails for around $10000, it is aimed more at porsche owners who like collectable porsche stuff than the usual suspects of pinkbike

29ROCKS! The movie - Cedric Gracia & Simon André on 29ers
don't forget the front derailleur, there are whole charts to figure which is required, the new standards are fine when the bike is new but when you need replacement parts is when the brain ache starts i wonder how much is progress and how much is hype with 8% stiffer etc. It is getting pretty complex, and in turn more $ shops can't stock all of the various bits and if you choose a "standard" that dosent catch on down the pipe you will be very frustrated. I learned this harsh lesson with a fisher mountainbike with all sorts of wierd stds inclluding a very odd bb
