Pinkbike Awards: Product of the Year Nominees
Im running big bettys right now. although i love the tread, seems that schwalbe side knobs have no strength/longevity to them. they all started cracking within 3 or 4 rides. another rider warned me that schwalbe tires have weak side knobs but i wanted to see for myself. once these tires wear down, im going back to maxxis and never looking back...

Video: Bell Super 2R Helmet Impact Testing
exactly. nobody is doubting that the helmet cant take a beating...bell is a reputable company and i would never expect them to put a safety product on the market that couldnt. but if this 2R deflects at a rate of say twice that of their own $200 "standard" full face...is the weight savings and multi-function really worth the protection?

Gunnar Ruffian Single Speed Frame!! (26 or 27.5)

$425 USD
This is a handbuilt, single speed, steel machine! The welds on this frame are simply beautiful. Has the industry best Paragon sliding vertical dropout to keep that chain perfectly tight. If you look around on MTBR for conversions, there are folks that run this bike with 27.5in wheels - so if that's your thing then go for it. I bought this frame new for $1,175.00. It has been loved for and used as an MTB should. There are paint scrapes and nicks that you would expect but there are NO cracks, bends, breaks, or marred threads anywhere on this frame. Mechanically, it is perfect. This frame just needs a new home and some new trails to rip. Steel...lasts. Frame geometry for the 19in is here: http://gunnarbikes.com/site/bikes/ruffian/ Price is for frame and seatpost collar only. Buyer pays all shipping and any PayPal fees if they want to not pay as a "gift." Thanks! Chris

RARE Bianchi PUSS Single Speed Frame and Fork!! (26 or 27.5)

$425 USD
This frameset is in MINT condition. Was used as a grocery getter and never actually MTBed. There are a few light marks on the fork from this being rested up against things in the garage. NO cracks, bends, breaks, issues, marred threads...frame is ready to go. Although this frame was built for 26in wheels, if you search around on MTBR for conversion bikes, many people use the Bianchi SS frame with 27.5in wheels with no issues at all. So if that's your thing, go for it. The frame uses Easton Ultralight aluminum - this frame is tight and light! Frame geometry for the 19.5in is here: http://www.bianchiusa.com/archives/2006/mountain/puss-frameset/ Price includes frame, fork, seatpost collar, and headset which is an unsealed/cheapo cane creek. If buy wants, i can remove the headset. Buyer pays all shipping and any PayPal fees if they want to not pay as a "gift." This color option is super rare...BUY IT. YOU NEED IT. BECAUSE "YOUR BIKE SUCKS" AND THIS ONE DOESN'T! Thanks! Chris

Note - if you go back through the MTB Awards for suspension as taletotell pointed out - the remark in this article is in regards to the CCDB inline shock

Ask Pinkbike: Shoe Solutions, Lever Adaptors, Angle-Adjust Headsets, and Night Riding Tips
Also on the headset part - f you read reviews for the CC offering, a lot of people have mentioned LOTS of creaks and woes with regular usage...there are a lot of moving parts. They require a lot of maintenance and greasing of the gimbal interface. IF you know and are confident to what angle you want to change your head angle to, go with the Works. Its design is a lot simpler and robust simply because it is not adjustable.
