DVO Topaz Shock - Taipei Show 2015
i think the only places i see DVO products are pinkbike/vitalmtb product stories and on local southern california DH teams riding intense bikes. DVO has a long long way to go if they ever want to be an actual player in the mtb world and not just the sponsored DH race world and internet glory.

New 7 Speed Hub from Atomlab
i couldnt see why not. youd would likely need a longer limit screw. i used to run this type of setup on my trials bike. just use 6 10speed cogs, space them out, set up your derailleur...

New 7 Speed Hub from Atomlab
For all you 135mm riders out there - pickup a hadley or hope single speed and just run 6 speed on it like many ppl have been doing for years and years: http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/29er-bikes/518738d1265523185-6-speeds-ss-cassette-explained-hadley-b.jpg http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/29er-bikes/383886d1218504306-6speed-jones-cassettes-pg990-6spd-pro-ss_md.jpg if you can argue for 7 speed, surely nobody will NEED that extra 1 gear down to a 6 cog setup...

hitting a hip/jump in the middle of a trail is A LOT different to me than sessioning a berm over and over to get a desired amount of roost or bar drag. normally, berms are built for a purpose - to carry speed through a corner. THAT feature was built that way specifically for that photo.

the reason why i dislike this photo so much is because the action is verrrry deceiving IMO. its a wall ride with a mound of dirt in the middle to appear to make a "cool" bar scrape shot. i dont like shots where the goal of the day is to get a shot. ex - build a "sweet berm" and throw some sweet roost and session that spot over and over and over until you get the shot you want. this isnt how most people mountain bike - thus i dont think it captures our sport in a true way. its a custom built feature for a designer shot. not my style.
