Insured Sponsorship - Make Sure You Are Covered
disregarding the valid discussion on American healthcare for a moment... This dude still has a massive medical bill to pay but is still actively advocating for people to donate to Paul Bas, rather than himself. Incredible, and for that massively selfless post, I'll be donating to them both. Get well soon Paul, and great to hear you're back riding Mark!

Replay: Crankworx L2A DH
This coverage is utter rubbish. Whoever placed the cameras needs sacking! World class event, Sport class coverage.

Video: Aussie Racer Episode Three - Gravity Challenge
I was in the line with this fella when he had all the camera's mounted to his bike and lid, the guy next to me made the joke about going faster. Nice guy and he did really well in his first race, there were some tricky sections. Great vid!

Best Laid Plans: A Summer's Journey - Trailer
in 2009 I was airlifted to hospital with major head trauma, 50+ stitches needed in my face. Then I spent the last two years preparing for the Mega, only to crash within a couple of days arriving. 2010 was a fractured Scaphoid and Metatarsal, 2011 was a very smashed collar bone whilst racing the avalanche cup. This year, I'm not doing the mega and riding everywhere covered in pillows! haha

Tech Tuesday - Install and Adjust Pedal Cleats
Whilst this guide focusses on the cleat position relative to the ball of the foot for efficient pedalling, it doesnt touch on the benefits of moving the cleat back towards the instep, which gives greater control whilst riding technical stuff or descending. I did this recently after a coaching session with Neil Donoghue and it really improved my ability to get 'behind' the bike whilst descending or riding through rock gardens or multiple roots. It also helps when dropping your heel in cornering, allowing the COG to drop lower... It doesn't detract too much from pedalling efficiency either, but the increase in control is huge. Give it a try!
