Marin Mount Vision (Medium/17")

$550 GBP
Frame is a 2009 Marin Mount Vision. Size Medium/17". I'm 5ft 8" and it fits me perfectly. Frame design means there's plenty of stand over. I bought this bike 15-months or so ago after getting back into mtb'ing and wanting a decent full sus bike for more comfort on longer rides. It has since been evolved/updated and upgraded into the bike below. However earlier this year I got the chance to buy a 2014 650b Saracen Kili Flyer 12X via my LBS at a price I couldn't resist. So my Marin's not been used much in the last few months and having 2 decent full sus bikes is a bit overkill so its time for the MV to go....reluctantly. Spec is as follows but can be varied to suit the new owners tastes. Forks: X-Fusion Velvet RL2 (set to 120mm travel, air/oil fork). £350 and only 12-months old. Bought new. Rear shock: Fox RP23 with Pro-Pedal (I think!). Original shock that bike came with. Doesn't leak, holds pressure and works well. Wheels: I have 2 sets. Shimano hubs on Mavic XM317s. Shimano Deore on Alex TD17s. Both are running true. The hubs on the Mavics have been serviced and not used recently. Tyres? Various! Maxxis Hi Rollers, ITS folding (various tread patterns), Panaracer Trailspiker mud tyre plus others in stock!! Controls: Crank Bros Iodine bars. 31.8/700mm. RaceFace stem 31.8/65mm. I also have a 90mm RaceFace somewhere. Token lock on grips. Headset was recently overhauled and Hope sealed bearings put in it (£30). RaceFace seatpin. Hope allen key seat clamp (black). I also have a Hope q/r seat clamp (red). Charge Spoon saddle (grey). I also have a Selle SMP TRK saddle thats been on the bike too. I also have a 30.9 KSi900 dropper seatpost (lever operated) which has been on the bike but is away being serviced by KS currently. Shimano SPDs but I'll probably keep them and sell the bike without pedals unless the owner wants SPDs. I might have some flats somewhere that can go on the bike. Brakes: Shimano XT. 160mm rotors. Shimano centre lock on the Mavics. Avid waveys on the TD17s. Pads are new(ish) front and rear. I have several pairs of new pads in stock too. Transmission: 9-speed. Shimano XT shifters. Shimano Hollowtech II cranks. Running 2x9 setup (32/22). I also have a 42T ring somewhere if you want to go 3x9 again. RaceFace bash guard. Shimano LX front mech. Shimano XT rear mech. Both wheels sets have Shimano 11-32 cassettes on them with plenty of life still in them. New Sram PC51 chain. I put new gear cables on the bike recently too. BB has been replaced in the last 6-months. The bike is in good condition overall but does have the odd scratch, stone mark and cable rubs as it has been used. Finish on this generation Marin is very tough unlike newer models if I understand correctly. I have replaced items as they've needed replacing and generally upgraded parts as the moods taken me. I'm not going to add up what the bike owes me as it'd shock me I fear! Happy for anyone interested to come have a look and try for size. I live in Gloucester (GL3 2PU). I'm looking for £550 ovno for the bike with the spec to the buyers liking which I think is a realistic price. I will probably look to put it on eBay at some point but thought I'd see if anyone here was interested first. Contact Craig on 07872 823713 if genuinely interested. 31/10/14: Dropper post now back from KS fully serviced and working as it should. Will be fitted to bike later today.
