Famous Riders Signatures, Sam Pilgrim, Gee Atherton, Cam McC

$10 GPB
Found this piece of paper in an old stack. It has been signed by Sam Pilgrim, Gee Atherton and Cam McCaul. I got the signatures at the Nissan Qashqai challenge event in London a few years back. These are of no use to me as I have some other bits of memorabilia that I have collected but if anyone would like it let me know. Thanks, Jack

Here's an example: And if you go back to that point (around page 128 ) POD was consistently generating 10,000+ views and 50+ comments. Probably from a far smaller user user base.

"Too many good pictures so they stop being exciting." I know it does sound stupid when you say it like that but its kinda true. I dont want to put down the pictures at all they are very inspiring. But as stooky said, there is only so many times you can say "OMG what a shot". Money plays a big part no doubt and these photographers might use getting Picture Of the Day as confirmation of their abilities and a way to generate more work. I dont think there is anything wrong with that but it would be nice to have a place to promote the unknowns, whether they be photographers/riders or locations. POD used to do that but it has moved on and the views and comments stats show - its not necessarily for the better.

I've got to add that the reduced interest in POD's is also a result of all the fantastic articles Pinkbike has these days. It used to be that POD got 100 comments and the articles had about 3. Now the reverse is true.

Maybe we can have a pro photographers POD and an amateur photographers POD. These polished shots look great in magazines and such but they struggle to be exciting day after day. The little known "Pinkbike Daily" feature always has a range of shots that are interesting for more than just the photographic quality.

Bell, 7mesh, Chris King - Eurobike 2014
I really like the Bell helmet. I dont want to carry around a full face for the 10% of the time Im actually going to use it. This seems like a great idea that adds enough protection to take a few extra risks and get more enjoyment out of the downhill parts of my rides. Anyone who thinks its going to replace their full face for downhill racing has completely missed the point.

Video: The Feeling Called Racing
Hi Ross, I was the drone pilot for the shoot (from Rotor Visuals). Great to see the final product up on here and looking so great too!
