Yes, but I think it appeals to a wider audience if they speak in English...

Just need Blenky to give some more language lessons, was awesome to hear Loic say "the track is rocky as" in one of the earlier episodes. Love hearing a French accent with Kiwi slang!

Great film, but... there's no excuse for a team letting someone mountain bike a day after a serious concussion. That's extremely selfish and short sighted. A mild crash could have lead to permanent brain damage. Not worth it. Seriously disappointing. f*ck all the managers and 'team doctors', of whatever sport, that approve that and risk a person's brain function for the rest of his/her life. This needs to change - everywhere.

Had a similiar concussion this summer and had to take it really easy for 2-3 weeks (doctors orders). For the fisrt few days I got a bad headache as soon as I walked around more then 10-15 minutes so it can't be good to race the day after.

Anyway, I have enyojed this series alot.

The team manager, Laurent, wanted Loris to sit out the next two races (which would have meant he didn't win the Junior series) but his doctor from home said he could race and his parents were happy also. If the rider wants to race and the doctor says it's OK there isn't much you can do as a team manager from stopping them. A similar thing happened in a football (soccer) match here recently where the Goalkeeper continued in the game after being knocked out.

Maybe there should be some set rules for head injuries which occur during the race...

I agree with you CreativeConcept - there should be head injury rules in place... for every sport. I'm 40 and after my last, and 8th concussion (most minor), almost 2 years ago - I'm still messed up. I've screwed up my life. I used to play university basketball and got knocked out a few times - only to be back at practice the next day. Nothing was thought of it back then. So much more is known about concussions now, so long-term damage can be, and should be prevented. I truly wish that people don't have to go through what I'm going through so it really upsets me to see young people risking their brains for short term pride or pleasure. Your brain is for life. Think about that. Sorry for the rant.
