Not sure what the officials would say, but in my book he made it. It clearly isn't clean and wouldn't earn full points, but I reckon he can still claim the first quad-tailwhip.

Actually, the rider spins the bike around the steerer / head tube, parallel to the handlebars on the y axis - and not around the handlebars. Spinning around the handlebar would indicate a z or x axis rotation. Just being a smart @ss :)

@Matt76: They all travel downhill on equally high tech machines. It’s a fairly even playing field. Physical strength, endurance and coordination are the relevant factors. Someone lacking strength or fitness may be able to make up for it with better coordination and technique, but generally though, men have the advantage in all of those areas. It makes all the difference.
