And anyone from a small island should go to Silverstar, if only for the drive from Vancouver, up through Whistler and Lillooet to Kamloops and then Vernon/Silverstar. I'd honestly go back to BC just for that drive.

I went to Silverstar from the UK after being seduced by this video ( Google : Silver Star Bike Park 2011 Ep 1). What an epic place - great little cultural hub of like minded folk. I loved how they pumped out electro/house all day long in the village for starters ....We went to Whistler afterwards which was great but far busier.......

Canada is epic. I've been there last September on a 3 week RV trip with my family. Got my 160mm bike with me and riding was awesome. Bike parks are cool, but all the local trails in BC and Alberta were such fantastic. Thanks to the guys at Pinkbike I discovered Vedder mountain near Chiliwack. Locals Mike and Warren at Hope show me their great trails. Jasper and banff- epic XC rides even fun with a long travel bike. Go to Nelson, Kamloops, Revelstoke is great. The list is endless. Go to a bike shop, ask people in the streets. Canadians are such nice people. You will find the ride of your life.
I'll think i'll move over before my little son has to go to school in a few years

I'm so stoked to go to Silver Star now! I live about 5.5 hours away, it's a trip that will happen this summer!

Interesting to hear differing perspectives on what natural looks like and how it rides. I see what one of them said about the trails having a natural flow.
