Whip Off World Championships: Crankworx Whistler 2016 - Photo Epic
Whip Off World Champs is one event at Crankworx that really needs no introduction. Born as a rouge event run underground and on the side in 2011 and now a staple of each Crankworx stop around the globe, it is without a doubt the event that crowds and riders seem to enjoy the most. An atmosphere that can only be described as controlled chaos but with chaos always leading the way dominates that jam format, and with riders buzzing by every few seconds, there is no downtime for those that come out in droves to watch.
Of course, some champions were crowned by the name of Finn Iles and Casey Brown, who took home the men's and women's title respectively, but to be honest, the action that went down behind this pair was just too insane to be overshadowed. So with that, we leave you with one massive photo epic from an event where it's best to just let the photos do the talking...
Crab Apple Hits have been reworked this year and the main jump sent riders higher than ever before.

Finn Iles last whip was the one that sealed the deal for the judges. Until then it was a stalemate between him and Vanderham, but when this one went way past 90 degrees it was game over.
Finn wasn't sure how he had done but knew it would be close. When they called Vanderham up for 2nd the nerves really started to kick in.
