 What, no 650b?
  • 21 8
 i hope your joking
  • 35 4
 I was hoping for a 29er...
  • 37 1
ya... and bb30...and 12x142 rear axle...its not carbon?
  • 6 4
I was waiting for that... but to many outside the usual market for this sorta bike, a spanish BB shell would seem to be the same sorta thing as BB30. Its an oversized shell that you slip bearings into. Apparently its fine for a jump frame but if you dare do that sorta thing to any other mountain bike and its a "the sky is falling" whinefest around here.
  • 3 6
they need to out thresad in bbs so can run mtb cranks as well shimano all the way
  • 2 0
Oh but you can my friend. See deity frame owners forrum where that is the current topic
  • 1 0
Anyone find themselves wonder what was odd with the beginning/end of the berms
  • 2 4
spanish bb though? seriously now your just trying to make things awkward
  • 2 2
^^ I agree the spanish bb can be a pain in the arse, but the bearings do last a lot longer/less chance of failure, and are a lot cheaper to replace. Kind of a trade off, but I think its worth it.
  • 2 4
Thats the thing I hate most about my TOP. It has a spansih BB. I dont like it at all.
  • 1 2
very strange that the street sweeper has a spanish AND and 83 mm spacing. i want it
  • 4 5
Daaah 2 bearing pressed into frame and spacer in the middle. You guy so high can't even put some spanish cranks on haaaaaaaaaa yo what a meathead. It gets no easier, lighter or more efficient. Those bearing last forever and never loosen up unless you canuks install everything with a hammer and maple syrup. Its just two bearings, no cups, no threads, no bullshit.Bmx 101; install 3 piece cranks. 2pm to 2:10pm weds. I gocha bbw30's right ova here after school.
  • 4 3
I have not the slightest problem putting the cranks on... I would just much rather have MTB cranks.

  • 5 2
Deity Cryptkeeper is a dirt frame...
  • 3 5
For the record we had the first streetsweeper frame named here at brooklyn machine works about 8 years ago when deity was making huge white stems for freenoobers, ya you remember. Deity is cool with me so enjoy the name and the frame. mtbmxIcan out!

Hey watch your mouth little boy. Pinkymon going to spank you.

What is with bitching about Spanish BB. Sure better than Mid (like 100g lighter overall (shell + bearings) and more then strong enough). Mid and 19mm should just go away.
  • 2 2
The difference btw mid and spanish bearings is micro in size and 1-2grams maybe. 19mm axles are also lighter than 22mm. Most of the new bmx cranks have 22mm and are ounces heavier than the old standard 19mm 48 spline gun drilled axle. Have you ever actually installed these two types or seen them in person? Almost identicle are the mid and spanish bearings. Bigger axle means more weight unless they start using aluminum like the bmx race cranks. For street steel will always be the choice. Frames are lighter and no brakes so putting heavy cranks on not a big deal. Still going to be 22lbs or less.
  • 1 4
No, it is not 1-2grams. It is the size of the BB shell. And bearings. Savings are ~100g, and bearing life is about the same. 19mm axles are not lighter than 22 either. It is bullshit. Go and take a look at the weights. In short, you have no idea what you are talking about.
  • 1 1
Wow that was awesome! Soo many bangers hard to comprehend. Renyolds actually lost a street contest? Chad was on it though with those premium 1948 cranks.. Thats right sports fans top 3 street riders in the world all on 19mm axles X 48 spline aka 1948. Read it and weap!
  • 2 0
i have em on my bmx but id rather have xts or saints or xtr get with it lighter easier and better chain shit
  • 1 1
I will leave you to wallow in your complete ignorance.
  • 1 2
 have fun idiot
  • 2 1
All this just because of an opinion... I'm not saying one is better than the other, I'm just saying I prefer one over the other.
  • 1 2
 which do you prefer?
  • 1 2
I HAVE 1948'S I JUST WANT TO BE ABLE TO RUN MTB CRANKS
  • 1 0
look man i want em for stronger sprocket /chainrings and yes i like my 1948s on my bmx but i cant run a water bottle shifter and 10 spd with a saint clutch der. all i want to know is if i can put them on my t.o.p. with a spanish bottom bracket .
  • 1 0

Assuming you have never owned a Deity product....
  • 16 17
I did once, Bars and Stem, they were that good the paint flaked straight off.
  • 18 2
 Anodizing flakes off?
  • 5 2
No, but he didn't specify when he had the bar and stem and it was likely before they started doing ano
  • 8 0
When Deity first hit the market, their bars were powder coated (or was it painted? not sure which).
  • 3 21
flag Jono83 (Aug 1, 2013 at 9:39) (Below Threshold)
They've been ano for as long as I can remember lol,
  • 28 2
Well then your memory is sub par
  • 5 3
it was powder, ive never heard of them flaking off... maybe chunks taken out of the paint by rocks...but not flaking off lol
  • 5 0
It was only a few years ago when they only offered black, white or grey PC finish. I ran a grey bar and the finish was tough as it is in my current Deity Stuff too. Great products that are made to last!
  • 1 2
im assuming the paint flaking off was just a figure of speech meaning the paint came off easily
  • 13 0
Yup. I can add to the "I had older Diety prod. and it was not that great" club...
I had old bars and a stem at one point, and they lost their paint after a while (not a really aggro rider, mind you), but my biggest issue was the weight vs. reliability of their V1 cranks, the Vendetta, I think? Oh holy crap, terrible for a while.

I WILL SAY, however:
DIETY is one of the RARE bike industry manufacturers that has completely refined and reshaped their image, and on top of that, they have truly blossomed into a great company with a beautiful product line!

From the ashes comes greatness, and it's just an opinion, but Diety did just that.
  • 1 4
No it flaked off! And yes they were painted, they only stopped selling the product about 5 years ago, there were better products at the time, I just ended up with them.

 Such nice frames
  • 1 1
it'll be a very nice bike built up regardless of colour and components but the way it was built in the vid with all the red components it looked the business! would love to get my mits on one of these frames deity make a lot of good STRONG kit. you know something is built to last when when it has Deity laser etched onto it, (stems bars ect ect)

is the first spot the gully?
  • 2 4
I can`t understand how people say Deity frames are "clean looking" . Maybe its me but I keep looking pass the fancy colors/paint/decals and look more "underneath" . I find nothing but ugly gussets everywhere, funny dropouts, big ass dent/demple for sprocket, etc. Exact same weird look as last years but diff colors. Way nicer frames out there IMO. Only thing GOOD I see is at least somone dummied up on the V2 Street was widen the bb to 83mm for Spanish bearings so you don`t have add so many spacers and it keeps bearings/crank stronger when wider out. Tonic fab been doing the wide bb for years... Still not a huge deal because even a standard Euro 68mm with an outboard euro-to-spanish better at about 90mm wide.
  • 1 2
Agreed, under the paint is your standard dented tube mess. Not impressed with it. thumbs down
  • 2 0
the line at 2:14 looks suuuper fun. Digin that orange cryptkeeper too.
  • 1 0
I've probably missed it, but are they 24" and 26" compatible? Or like different?
  • 2 0
If you can run a 26" wheel, what's stopping you from running a 24"?
  • 1 0
I know that, but wouldn't it screw with the geometry and angles?
  • 1 0
If you did a 24 out back and 26 up front it would change your angles. If both were 24s then it wouldn't, you would just be 1 inch closer to the ground.
  • 1 0
Ahh that's does make sense haha
Thanks Smile
  • 2 2
Nice mtbmx frames! Spanish bb's lol, campy headtubes, tiny 26" wheels. Somebody has bmx heritage here. Good job on the frames, keep it coming, we buy only 26,24,20".

  • 1 0
Only deity can make to much of one color look badass.
  • 1 0
So does Jake Kinney get the only red Cryptkeeper?
  • 1 0
Yeoow jake, straight up killed it! Shredding hard man, such a sick edit!
  • 1 0
Hmmm, those seat tube lengths look much longer in the photos...
  • 2 1
 crash replacement policy?
  • 5 1
"Limited Lifetime Warranty to the Original Owner"
"Lifetime Crash Replacement Policy to the Original Owner"
  • 5 0
 reading optional apparently
  • 1 0
I think he's asking what they mean by that, I was about to ask the same thing. Wonder what the policy entails? Like 10% off a new frame, or are they actually suggesting a free replacement.
  • 2 0
I could have been more clear I guess, I meant what does a crash replacement policy entail? I could look it up on the website for myself I just figured someone would know. The very reason I made the comment was because I read that at the bottom...
  • 1 0
I can guarantee 'crash replacement' does not entail a free frame.
  • 1 0
Crash replacement is getting a new frame at the fraction of retail price.
