This is the type of article I like to see on PB. It is not a review hyping something. It is not an advertisement in disguise. It is informative. I am so tired of bike/component reviews that are useless (I have never read a negative review) and so tired of ads that are displayed as articles. The last bike purchase I made was tough because I could not find a single review that said on bike in the category I was looking at was better than another or had a single negative issue.

The prices are about normal for the 134 and the 153 but the 111 is way overpriced. The 111 was going to be my bike this coming season but I could not possibly justify the price gap between the 111 and other similar rides from the competition... It upset me. I love the philosophy behind the design of this bike, but fail to understand why the 111 is so expensive.

Because the people who voted yes are sheep who enjoy the Olympics and probably the type of people who would pay and arm and a leg just to attend the opening ceremonies, the people who voted no are people who enjoy mtb and would rather ride there bike than see corrupt lame behemoth the Olympic are. Plus the IOC would probably mandate that DH be run on 29er wheels. Therefore the people who voted no are commenting because they see the grave danger that such a proposition poses and are passionately trying to protect their love from the travesty it could become.

The Olympics has some of the lamest sports ever. It is a corrupt dinosaur body. They are struggling to kick out Olympic type sports like wrestling to bring new “sports” like darts or pin the tail on the donkey. Any sport I have enjoyed I find is only degraded by the Olympics. If/when MTB becomes and Olympic event then this just another example of degradation of a good sport. The nationalism around the Olympics is enough to make me steer clear. I don’t care if mtb makes the Olympics I won’t pay attention to Olympic mtb events and know that ultimately this will just further water down the sport. Freestyle skiing went from being cool to stupid in the span of two Olympic series, I mean come on from kick ass hotdawging of the seventies to ski ballet???? Realy? Snowboarding as well – the Olympics made Carrot top (I hate to use the chumps name as he is such a tool, Shawn White) a star, it did not progress the sport more than the sport would have on its own, it did not progress the tech in the sport, you can now buy cheap crap adidas snowboard boots.
