With the excitement running high for this years Lesotho Extreme Trail Festival, we decided to put together a shuttle day for all our keen trail riding friends to give them a taste of what this years event will have in-store... and what better venue that our favourite winter play ground, the Valley of 1000 Hills.

Our trail captain for the day was David Drummond, who led the riders in on a 15km descent, all the way to Isithumba where the Detour Mothership was waiting, ready to load bikes for the next run.

The main attraction of the day was trying out the different runs off the Mfula Mother, that we have put together over the years of riding in the valley. One of the runs included the new downhill track that has recently been built by Durban Green Corridor. The riding included some spectacular views which made for the perfect back drop to test your skills and push your limits on...

After more than 45km of descending the riders finished at Mfula store where the Detour crew awaited the hungry riders with some well deserved Burgers and Beers.

If you are a keen trail rider, who enjoys riding natural trails and testing your skills without the pressure of timing and masses of riders, please check out our event coming up in October: http://www.detourtrails.co.za/lesotho-extreme-trail-festival/

Thanks to Craig Scott for sharing his pics with us!
