Waking Up the Whistler Bike Park
I liked the effect myself. I found it added a grungy feel to the photos. It goes well with an article about trail work :D and just be glad he didn't use instragram filters lol

Rockshox Vivid 5.1 8.5 X 2.5 w/ 500lb Spring
$250 CADShock was installed on a 2010 Giant Faith. Removed halfway through the 2012 season as I upgraded a to fox. No problems with the shock.
Note: The spring says 2.75 even though it’s a 2.5” stroke shock. Shop didn’t have any 2.5” stroke springs and verified and the 2.75 will work (it’s been on there since it was new with no issues)

Fox Float 32 RL 120mm 15mm Axel with hub
$300 CAD2010 Fox 32 120RL, 120mm suspension fork w/ 15QR thru-axle
Removed from 2010 Trance X2 beginning last season (upgraded to a bigger fork for riding the shore). Fork is in good shape and was serviced just before it was removed last year. No scratches on the stanchions
- 1 1/8” steer tube (will provide length when I get home, but it’s what ever giant had it cut to for the trance x2 and it hasn’t been shortened)
- Comes with the Giant 15mm hub that was on the bike as well.

Red Bull Divide and Conquer Returns to Vancouver's North Shore
damn that sucks. I was planning on riding that this weekend. Sounds like anything past the 6th switch back has trees down all over the place too.

Hopefully they plan on doing some trail repair after the race. Last years race trashed executioner from what some of the other guys were saying. They ran a race in the rain on a trail that us locals avoid riding in the wet to limit damage.

Video: Fernie Bike Park
my memories of fernie are similar to yours dmadness. Bombed out, rickety stunts, and all the lips were rolled like at a bmx track. They do have a few good trails but it's like some of the other hills. i would make constant day trips to k-horse and in 2 years I did one weekend trip to fernie and left annoyed.
