After two days of racing it wasn't much of a surprise to see the final results. Jared Graves returns from injury to take the Pro Men's overall while Kelli Emmett held onto her lead from day one to take the Pro Women's overall win. A full photo essay to come!
Being able to race with and see these guys and gals race is really sweet! Not too many sports get you a conversation and time with pro's in such a relaxed environment.
BME put on a great race. I thought the courses were all fun and challenging. My favorites were stages 1 and 2.
It was cool being so close to the pros and talking to them on the lift and waiting for starts. Everyone except for Richie seemed pretty intimidated by Jared. I heard "I'm in x position, which is pretty good considering Graves is here" multiple times. Also got to hear some pros bitching about crappy sponsored equipment and praising competitor's equipment (I won't say who/what, but everyone seemed seemed to like Yeti's setup).
I was also impressed with the women's field, they were tearing it up.
65degree HTA and that infinity switch will rip DH. Yetti produces world class athletes like the #gwinning team and doesn't hurt being fully acclimated to our altitude.
