Eric and I had talked a couple months back about evolving our passion for both mountain biking and film making. We had discussed and still continue to discuss the endless possibilities that our like minds can bring to the mountain bike community. Eric has a keen eye and growing knowledge in photography/film as well as capable riding skills that go beyond just bikes, paired with myself having a strong drive for creating videos. We have joined forces to produce creative videos portraying our vision of not just riding bikes, but also the lifestyle that goes along with it. The things you see, the places you go, and the people you meet along the way.
I flew up to Washington and spent some time at Eric's place wandering in-between spots through out the Seattle and surrounding areas. Eric had just come out of hibernation after resting for over 3 months recovering from previously breaking his foot for the third time in the summer, as well as breaking his hand. He picked me up from the airport and over the next few days we would create our visual representation of Eric having fun on his bike. We spent the first couple days in Seattle exploring the urban lifestyle and surrounding terrain. However as the work week began, we had to return back early every night to be sure that Eric would make it back in time for his swing shift at work, which most of us know this experience all too well. This didn’t exactly ease the pain on a recently jelly-ionized body from Eric just returning back on the bike. This also resulted in our filming time being cut in half. But Eric’s positive, upbeat and funny attitude fuelled us to keep on trucking. In this video we wanted to showcase Eric’s ability to be able to ride every genre of our sport, urban, dirt, and downhill.
We are learning and acquiring new knowledge each day, constantly feeding off each other's creative aspects. This video was more or less a trial to see what we could do in the limited time we had. We look forward to growing more and more as the year is just beginning. Eric and I have lots of ideas in store and some awesome adventures to be had... A big shout out goes to all the people who have supported us so far, and also to the trail builders. Huge props and respect goes out to them. We hope you guys enjoy the video and we look forward to seeing where this upcoming season takes us. Cheers!
