The Dual Slalom course saw approx. 250 man hours in the past week. All of this work (most from locals) has made this track look like new and ride even better. Starting with 2 lanes, going into 1 lane and back to 2 lanes for the finish will make this race both unique and super fun. DH, Open Chainless, Super D, after riding parties and raffles are already in the line up.
Online registration closes Tuesday 3-11-14 at midnight. www.downhillmike.com for details.
Onsite registration will be open starting on Thursday for a slightly higher fee. Register early and save!
The entire DS track was buffed out. This 1at pictures was taken right after the start box:
The top 1/3 is 2 lanes wide before breaking into 1 wider double lane with several rollers near the middle of this track:
The bottom 1/3 goes back into 2 lanes with tons more berms, rollers and doubles:
You really need to see this "new" track in person. Our guess is all that see it will be asking us "Can we race in the dual slalom too". Our answer will be "Yes".
Not only our crew from the Bootleg Canyon Winter Gravity Series is stoked, but the locals and the whole town. The Five Ten Reaper Madness is shaping up to be 4 days of gravity madness in Boulder City, Nevada and we couldn't be happier!
See you at the Reaper!
Downhill Mike and crew.
