The People's Enduro - Hub A Palooza 2014

Just outside the city of Spokane, WA rise two unassuming summits. Home to over thirty mountain bike trails, Beacon Hill and Camp Sekani provide easy access to "back yard" singletrack for local riders. Add to the mix a low elevation that generally provides favorable trail conditions, and you have the perfect recipe for an early Spring enduro race.

Part of the Hub-A-Palooza Weekend, The People's Enduro gathered nearly 50 riders to enjoy some March riding. While using a similar route to last year's King of Beacon Race, The People's Enduro differed by virtually eliminating climbing during stages and instead allowed riders to do their climbing in-between.

A below freezing start and trails that thawed into grease on the first two stages were in keeping with the challenges of a early season race. Despite the cold temps and splattering mud, there were an abundance of smiles and impressive rides.

This event was organized by Josh Tofsurd of All Gravity Series who was joined this year by The Bike Hub.
