The injury list of #1: Dislocated shoulder, Dislocated jaw, Lost one of my front teeth, Had a small blood clot in the temple on my head and in my nose, Stitches in my leg and arm from seeing my bone, Broke four ribs, number 4 and 5 either side of my spine, Shattered my wrist in five places (wrist went into forearm, I now have no cartilage!) And dislodged back.

How are you doing now? That's a long list hope your feeling better! Ever think of riding a bike again?
  • 8 1
I'm not the rider haha, just posting it for people who are interested in the results of the crash

Too bad you didn't get a better video of it.

Needed to tilt the camera a little further up.

When I watched the video I was like "He's lucky he ended up only washing out!". Seeing the list of injury, that's a pretty hardcore wash out...
  • 6 1
I thought he should set his suspension firmer.

Damn crash doesn't even look that bad. Brittle bones or something.
  • 36 1
Wow! The list of carnage #1 suffered is worth more than a free backpack... Heal up soon!
  • 5 4
Then Pay closer attention. He's thrown into that berm or mound of dirt or whatver it is. And he's going pretty fast.
  • 13 0
Geeze, he was having a decent run otherwise. Pass on our support for the rider!
  • 7 1
thats fucking brutal, hope hes recovering well
  • 14 1
The "FAIL OF THE MONTH" are the life-most useful materials on the pinkbike: they are sobering.
One have an opportunity to analyse a mistakes and what to pay attention for.
  • 6 3
Video or it never happened? Oh wait...
  • 7 0
Drink more milk. Or more beer.
  • 6 0
Think a bigger bike would help , Heckler not cutting it on those booters
  • 9 0
Invest in a full-face and a pressure suit.
  • 13 1
Hey, it sucks he got messed up so bad. I'm just saying, I don't think the video is that good, certainly not fail of the month worthy.
  • 10 2
Don't think that was 40ft gap as the title says, looks more like 20 tops. Also, who the hell hits a 20ft gap without a full face? Sorry about the injury, but use some common sense.
  • 3 1
20feet isn't big by any margin. If you jump much bigger on a regular basis it can feel pretty safe.
  • 5 0
That was some sketchy riding. As I was watching that i thought every jump was going to be the one he was going to crash on.
  • 8 0
Pretty sure that's the Pro Line on Enter the Dragon at Bike Park Wales - definitely 40ft chaps and you have to hit it really quick to make it.
  • 4 0
It is indeed the pro line at bpw! And having done almost the same thing myself on the same jump, I can attest to the fact that it is 40ft!
  • 3 0
Yeah having ridden past them jumps that run along side I can also agree the are a good 40ft and you do have to hit them insanely fast
  • 69 2
#1 should get it because he broke so many things in his body
  • 19 0
and his bike...say goodbye to kashima coating
  • 30 2
What?!?!?! How the hell is that the November winner?
  • 26 0
if it was me with the backup fail I'd definitely have pretended I meant it and maybe just casually jogged off to the loo or something.
  • 7 0
With a Roly poly at the base of the landing so it looked intentional to land on the arse XD
  • 19 0
What happened to the creek jump fail from November?
  • 4 0
Was November the month with the guy who extended his neck like 180° jumping a gap?
  • 14 0
pinkbike may I recommend save of the month
  • 12 0
HOLY SHIT I MADE IT TO #2
  • 1 0
This would be my winner. Frickin hilarious and not too painful.
  • 12 1
Haha, stoked my buddy's crash got number 2!
  • 4 0
man that's rough I hit a tree a few weeks back and its been tough to get my confidence back. Its progressing slowly but I am thinking about investing in a full face helmet and body armor. Still wouldn't do much for the spine and I came off a jump endo'ed face first into a tree and scorpioned myself in the air it was pretty sweet. I recommend a teeter hangup it does wonders for the back! lol
  • 6 0
#1 's crash was brutal, scary stuff. Hope you heal up alright dude!
  • 2 0
Got to be No1, if only to hear the Welsh accent at the end... he was pinning it until that gap, and he didn't underjump it, just got a little sideways and missed the landing... If the injuries listed above are correct... Big Up to the man and hopefully a full recovery...
  • 5 0
i kept clicking that last one, thinking the computer was lagging. =(
  • 5 0
#2 for me its all about that noise on impact.
  • 4 0

#2 for reinforcing the important lesson "look where you want to go, not at what you want to avoid"
  • 1 0
#6 is clearly Marple in Stockport. Sheffield is the other side of the Peaks. The title places must be where the riders are from.
  • 3 0

  • 3 0
 #6! awesome front flip dismount!
  • 3 0
#6 just a lil more speed you could of made it to the other landing.
  • 4 3
#1 makes me hurt just seeing it, get better soon, but #2 shows the disadvantage of bigger wheels.
  • 1 0
I'm pretty sure that's a 26" dj bike in #2. Are you saying he should be riding 24"?
  • 2 0
#5 because he has very lucky!
  • 1 0
Haha, but i prefer to say that is dismounting without damaging yourself skill Big Grin
  • 1 0
So another way of summarizing #1 would be near death experience or simply.....sh$%!
