The 2015 Swatch Rocket Air will mark the Sixth edtion of this showcase event. Next weekend riders from all over the world will jump and trick their way through the ice rink of Thun. Last years' winner, Thomas Genon heads up a list of international riders including newcomer, Nicholi Rogatkin who will be at the Swatch Rocket Air for the first time.

After his First place at the Vienna Air King, Nicholi can also be seen as a favorite for the Swatch Rocket Air. He is very excited to compete having only heard the best about the Swatch Rocket Air so far, "I was jealous of the competing riders when I watched last years live stream", Rogatkin says. On Friday he will be representing the US Team together with his collegues in the 'Teambattle', as they compete against last years winners Team Canada.

But the biggest challenge for Rogatkin will certainly be the duel against Thomas Genon. The Belgian pushed himself for the first place last year and will certainly push himself harder this year. Rogatkin is motivated to ride with Genon, "We push each other to more crazy tricks and awesome runs. I’m looking forward to riding against him and to see what he has to throw down.“ There is not only the 10'000 CHF prize money to be won, but also the additional motivation of a Wildcard entry for the FMB Diamond Series Event Swatch Prime Line.
Lots of work still needs to be done in the next 3 days. The Flying Metal Crew is building up a whole junkyard around the Slopestyle Course
judging sucks in my opinoin, how was Genons run better than Bobby Lamirandes one? He did quad barspin360,frontflip, 360tailwhip to barspin,flipwhip.. i predict bright future for him !
Well yes I do see your point as obviously then the daylight would be fixed in a set place - but if you weren't joking and do genuinely believe that the world should all work off of one universally global time to avoid people getting confused at what time things in other countries start you are a plum
Yeah neg prop me because you're wrong & try to school me & where the hell did I say CET is used in the uk? CET is still two hours ahead from GMT. You really take stupid to another level...
(So to the above comment GMT is 2 hours BEHIND CEST - i.e. central european summer time - however because at the moment UK is also using BST - i.e. British summer time - gmt+1 the time difference is only 1 hour still - this does not mean that GMT is 2 hours behind CET - these two time zones remain fixed at 1 hour apart but are only used in the winter)
mainland europe and britain usually swap to daylight saving time (and back again) on the same weekend(s) of the year meaning that usually always countries who use cet/cest are always 1 hour ahead of the UK time zone.
In affect you would be correct to say that CET and BST are the same as they are both GMT + 1 however they are not commonly used concurrently.
Sorry if this is a bit confusing would be more than happy to elaborate further
The problem you have reno-be is that you still think CET and CEST is the same thing. CET = winter (real time), CEST = summer (daylight saving). CET = GMT +1, CEST = GMT+2. Some day you may learn this.
Can someone explain me the concept bof opposite tricks ?? I mean there isn't a "logic way of rotating", it depends of each rider, what they prefer ? so why oppo ?
everyone has a preferred way of spinning, so the opposite way is always alot harder and will score higher. its like trying to write with your left hand if you are right handed for example
ok, I know that.. my question was, how can the commentator know that it's an oppo trick or not while the rider is on his run ? do the riders have to tell or write on paper which way of rotating they prefer ? for each trick ?
The commentator ( which i think is Ryan Meyer and he sucks at it) probably gets a list of the riders preferred way to spin. Pretty much only need to know which is oppo or not for 3 tricks. Barspins, tailwhips, and 360's or 720's.
commonly if you ride with your right foot in front it is easier to spin to the left and if you ride with your left foot in the front you will spin easier to the right
Every time they said opposite the rider had just spun both ways in their run. It's not much of what the perfer it's just displaying that they can spin well in both directions.
If you want tits there are many avenues to view them on the internet. Having woman effectively as props in events like this is demeaning and just f*cking creepy. It also assumes the only target audience is male (which it probably is mostly, but this is partly why). Anyway, it just looks awkward for the women and the riders. Please, organizers, bring yourselves out of the 80's. Most of us can wait the 15 seconds or so for the riders scores without needing to have our crotches stimulated. Those that can't already have pornhub open in another tab anyway.
@kit-nz I agree. Don't get me wrong I adore the female form and we all live in a balance of mental and physical attractions but damn this seems objectifying.
This sucks! =(
Sorry to say this but GMT is only 1h behind CET. You are thinking of CEST. (Hate the forward/backward thing we do with time)

cest is bst +1
