I agree that Nino helped legitimize/popularize 27.5s but he wasn't the one being crucified for daring to re-introduce a new wheel size/standard like Pacenti was. I just don't believe in giving the majority of credit to a racer, besides there are plenty of people who couldn't care less about 27.5...believe it or not.

Age in this case is relevant to me since I have a lot more experience with planned obsolescence than you do. SRAM is doing exactly what Shimano did back in the late eighties/early nineties going from 126-130-135 for rear spacing and 6-7-8 speeds to 48-46-42 big rings. I am glad you seemingly have infinite funds to keep up with continually changing "standards" but back when I was an 18 year-old privateer, I did not. I didn't respect it then with Shimano and certainly don't now with SRAM.
