Video: Nino Schurter - The Hunt for Glory Teaser
Perhaps, but you bring up the paradox of who won the World Cup--the rider or the equipment? Did Nino win because of the 27.5s or could he have won on a 29er or 26er? I agree that Nino helped legitimize/popularize 27.5s but he wasn't the one being crucified for daring to re-introduce a new wheel size/standard like Pacenti was. I just don't believe in giving the majority of credit to a racer, besides there are plenty of people who couldn't care less about 27.5...believe it or not.

Yeah well I knew I would piss-off the fanboys who think that racers are somehow the innovators, thought I would give credit where its actually deserved. Besides I'm pretty sure it was Frishy who suggested to Nino to try the goldilocks size especially since Nino is a bit too small for a 29er. I guess most of you ride tubular MTB tires too eh?

For those not in the know, I'm pretty sure it was Kirk Pacenti who single-handedly brought 27.5" tires to the mainstream.

Fouriers, Birzman and HT - Taipei Show 2015
@mnorris Well, calling me "dumb and to open my eyes" is definitely immature on your part whether you're a kid or not. Age in this case is relevant to me since I have a lot more experience with planned obsolescence than you do. SRAM is doing exactly what Shimano did back in the late eighties/early nineties going from 126-130-135 for rear spacing and 6-7-8 speeds to 48-46-42 big rings. I am glad you seemingly have infinite funds to keep up with continually changing "standards" but back when I was an 18 year-old privateer, I did not. I didn't respect it then with Shimano and certainly don't now with SRAM.

@mnorris--gee nothing like a teenager calling me dumb--without SRAM we would've never had Elixirs, you heard of those, genius?

Birzman making stuff that is useful, unlike some--meaning you SCAM, I mean SRAM.

1 Question: Where is the Women's MTB Scene Headed?
This is a great progressive article/discussion for pinkbike considering the click-bait plastic women from the 'Loron Invitational' page. What a dichotomy or is it hypocrisy? How can women be seen as equals and also seen as objects? One step forward and two steps back...nobody gets too far like that.
