I've had some fox stuff in the past and it's been good... but too many meatheads walk around with the logo splashed all over their chests these days. I can't be associated with such things...
Are those meatheads the same dudes smoking crack and running your gov? LOL. I love how Canadians rant and rave about everything except Steve Smith, Rock Mountain and Devinci.
The trick boys is not being a meat head and wearing their shit. I have a pair of their moto boots and they're the reason i now have a pair of their "motion concept" training shoes. comfiest things I've ever worn...and get this: I'm not a douche. Its pretty great actually
Quinn-39 I remember back in 2000 our DH Team got sponsored by FOX. I thought I was cool shit first day of school with my new FOX gear till I got there and ever douche kid had a FOX shirt on because one of the tools from Backstreet Boys wore a FOX chest protector during a concert. We dropped FOX
You sound a lot like a girl when she goes to a party and someone else has the same dress. Serious fashionista shit. Should worry less about looks, and more about riding...
tjet- I was 16yrs old I didn't know what fashion even was back then. Mountain biking just starting to get big and I felt like my pride just got R Kelly'ed lol
I used to boycott fox, especially in my moto days...but mostly because so many posers wire fox and pasted fox heads on their Hondas and didn't ride.....but as I got older I realized I like their stuff, and I'll be damned if im going to let a bunch of wannabes keep me from wearing what I want
Well said.. Ive been wearing fox gear since around 95'.. They are a great company that does good things for multiple sports. Not gonna stop supporting them just because of some wannabes..
Who am I to judge some wannabe anyways?? I wannabe as fast as Smith and Ratboy too!!
I am asking why producers offer white shorts for downhill and other muddy activities? White has been offered for years and nothing's done to change it. Am I the only one missing something in this case?
I disagree in hot places like California, Spain Portugal ect is actually nice and they will stay white but i can see what you mean but it is nice to have the option
heh, white is super trendy in interior architecture as well. It looks cool and it is stupidly non practical. People lust after it like crazy. That has a lot to do with Apple. There are situations though where you can get away with it like One Reason says, but in general its fashion, a form of revolt against practicality and functionality
Lol using the color white has absolutely nothing to do with apple..Like dingus said coolest color(absence of color) temperature wise. A lot of people live in areas where mud is not a common issue and white isn't difficult to keep clean.
I keep the fashion up by always wearing basketball gear. Even though I want/(am trying) to kill myself sometimes when the shorts are constantly getting caught up on the saddle. But the looks on my friends faces when they tell me that I should not wear white shorts during biking is priceless. It's like they just discovered nuclear fusion. They say it looks like I shit myself, especially after always taking a few bails (whatever that means ).
@EnduroManiac I think black would be the most popular, but @One-reason you are right. I am still thinking about my riding only. Still I would pick some light green or blue for hot climate and a white shirt matching. @afish3r Believe me I don't have anythink white except teeth and some t-shirts. @WAKI who the F cares about your theories and world trends except you? (rhetorical question). @dingus I prefer to choose white t-shirt and a bit darker shorts in summer. Still I want my ass to look closer to tidy during riding so, as for me, green is a good colour.
Generally I try to wear clothes that can remain tidy untill I return home, and if I use sport underwear I don't need to wash shorts every time unless they are white. I like shorts to be coloured bright and "happy" like the blue t-shirt presented above, or some light green. Thinking about riders I've seen, it is good to have the centre of colour and contrast "mass" in shorts, so something bright, something colourful, or dark. If you could think about Akrigg in Spain, there is some style I appreciate. I know it is not a fashion website, but what is the reason against looking good when spending time with pleasure?
Jedrzeja - thanks for letting me know. I also appreciate you telling me how you like to dress up. Pardon me for saying something about 90% of what you just wrote. I thought tou took umbradge last time and you were supposed to ignore me.
@WAKI I would appreciate if you just stop replying to my comments and stop all the trials of discussing with me. You seem to forget about the previous times I told you to and you still continue. There are lots of places on pinkbike and other websites to put your wonderful comments, so please leave me alone.
I don't answer your comments, so please stop replying to miy. This is simple. I think you understand. I am sorry but I don't appreciate your points of view for about 12659 comments of yours I've seen. You provoke unpleasant situations and in a way stalking me.
Pinkbike content is public and everybody may comment, but for the sake of all other users we should avoid discussion just to save others from reading an argument.
Still I don't even read your answers. I am sorry for this, but you have taught me that there is nothing interesting for me in the very content each particular time.
I don't know what you are trying to achieve by this, and your fanatism seems to me just like some mental illness or close to it. Sorry again, but this is not my problem. I am trying to ignore you, and from now on I will, even if you words reply to my comments directly.
We all know you are from Poland. I also remember what the customs of polish forums are. Simply everybody's wrong and I am always right. Lets argue for eternity. You seem to bring the customs to pinkbike and nobody appreciates this, believe me.
Lets start the change in you not aswering the very message I've just finished.
waki waki.....like my best friend told me 35 years ago........we are no wierd, you are. Why always in trouble with the rest? be nice, its actually better, attracts better vibes instead of all the bad ones you get. Your friend Lalo
Srsly... It seems to be dominating the mtb world specifically too. There was like one guy with neon yellow gloves when I watched A2 supercross. I like the color, it goes really well with a black or red bike but I am so glad I never bought any gear in that color.
The entire bike industry has been beating a dead horse with that color. There is no real creativity or originality... everyone just copies everyone else because they are afraid to take a risk on something that might not sell.
I bought Oakley jawbones in that color because they were on sale at a good price. At first, I was self conscious because I assumed I looked like a flippin huge tool, but then I realized it might be a safe addition since I often wear all black on my blacked out Faith. I'm still hesitant to buy other things in that color, though 5.10 has a new Freerider SPD shoe featuring neon yellow. I might bite on that one if the new Maltese falcon or Impacts don't suite me.
Anyway, I agree. Why can't everything come in solid black?
I see shirts and shorts. DH and trail gear have become commonplace. Not necessarily a bad thing, just not an "exciting" thing. The materials on all the new stuff from TLD, Fox, etc though are always fantastic now.
I wish they made their clothing in MAN size too. Don't even care what colour they are, it would be nice to have some proper riding attire that doesn't get destroyed in one good crash.
C'mon Fox (and EVERY other mountain bike clothing manufacturer) how about throwing us fat bastards a bone - big dudes ride bikes too...
I'm 6'3" and 210 lbs- a big guy but not overly huge. Fox 36" shorts and L jerseys and tees fit like a glove. I have 4 year old sergeant shoestring that are still going strong and two 3 year old long sleeve jerseys that have no holes. Their dirt shirts are indestructible. The launch knee/shin gaurs I had lasted 2 years of all-year riding and pedaling before the elastic stretched. Every piece of clothing (stealth bomber globes excluded) has seen gnarly slams and countless washes and are still going strong. I'm convinced the majority of Fox gear is high quality.
Another pro tip- stay far away from Royal Racing. Their XL feel as fitted as a fox large.
Yeah, I've always found their shirts to be good if not a little tight size wise if I rock a 2XL (which I don't think they do any longer - I can't find any in the store at least) but I have yet to find a bicycle clothing manufacturer that is able to provide my 6'3" 330lbs body with decent riding shorts. I find it hilarious - if I wanted to wear lycra I could find bib shorts three, four, five sizes TOO BIG, but when it comes to MTB... nope.
Surely I'm not the only really big dude riding? Perhaps I need to get into the clothing game haha
Those guys just have amazing style and jedi-like bike control!
The Fox design on the other hand I find awful. Couldn't somebody tell those designers that things have moved on since the late 80s...? What ever happened to plain colors and small logos that don't make you look like a walking bill-board?
I'd love to buy one of those helmets, especially the Red, white and black coloured one. I can guarantee the helmets will be pretty expensive though, and recently I've spent pretty much all of my money on racing for this year. Sucks:/ I'd love to be sponsored by FOX.
I used to hate on the "posers" but then I accepted the fact that fox head is just a clothing company. Fox racing shocks is what it's all about. (they have like 2 t-shirts) I really really would like to know from someone at redbull or fox WHY they started slapping redbull logos on fox head gear. In the past redbull has been extremely exclusive with the use of their brand. If someone or something had a red bull logo on it, you knew it was something respectable and awesome. Now I see it as such a poser brand, which is sad because they do such amazing things. Am I the only one who feels this way?
I won't buy any more of there clothing paid £60 for a pair of cargo shorts that disintegrated after 2 months !! Not from riding just from normal wearing,,ie walking about sitting down,, pulling them up and down to wee poo wank,, I did e mail them to tell them how turd they were and got no reply!! So screw you fox!!!!
this is weak for fox, i suspect one too many people got lazy during the design process. was really expecting some good colors, and sets that matched well. should of spent less time designing t shirts and more time making sets that will appeal to everyone.
Since when is being understated a bad thing? I'd much rather wear something subtle rather than one of these TLD pyamas.. I prefer Dockers shorts and American Apparel shirts for that reason, bit sweaty but still better than looking like a goon.
Who am I to judge some wannabe anyways?? I wannabe as fast as Smith and Ratboy too!!

The Rampage is a nice and beefy helmet - like it.
