Looks cool, but all the same spec as the Specialized Dissident. Got mine for $350CAD.
  • 26 3
That Helmet is fire! Definitely going to get one once I'm tired of my D3. 100% has been going 110% lately.
  • 4 0
 And it looks really nice!
  • 13 0
That 100% helmet has 100% of my 10% attention span.

Neg props for pointing out a better helmet for cheaper... PB you crazy. At least now I know how @Wakidesigns feels.
  • 3 1
I was just the other day wondering what Bruni's helmet was. It looks awesome. Ah well, just ordered an ixs Xult....
  • 2 1
if a 100% product is on 10% off, is it still 100%?
  • 3 0
I believe it would be 90%
  • 1 0
Haven't seen this "cheek pad ejection system" but it sounds like a very worth while technology. Will support this helmet for sure!
  • 2 0
@bryanmckinlay Bell also has the cheek pad ejection system in the Full 9 helmet. There are pull tabs on the cheek tabs. The cheek tabs are hold onto the helmet's shell with magnets. Thus you can remove the cheek pads while you're wearing the helmet. Which obviously only makes sense when you have been in an accident. But then it can mean the difference between two wheels in parallel planes or two wheels in one plane.
  • 1 0
All top brands have moved to removable cheek pads.

Hoping those new Sam Hill Impacts are bit lighter than previous iterations... Good to hear they tried to fix the delaminating toe issue though. .
  • 3 1
Amazing what a needle and some thread will do! Most of my 5.10 shoes are falling apart in the toes.
  • 3 0
yep, the toe on my Sam hill delaminated after like 2 months (though it didn't seem to affect anything else - they lasted 2 years). I just replaced them with a pair of 5.10 freeriders - the freeriders are a full 10 ounces lighter! I know these are DH vs FR shoes, but holy crap
  • 2 0
Did you guys know that 5.10 shoes come with warranty? I took my Impacts to the company and received a new set. Due to the tip of the shoes peeling off.
  • 4 3
$160 for shoes though.... getting a bid mad, maybe if the great man had already worn them haha
  • 1 0
@rocco76 they are based in redlands?
  • 3 0
@xeren yes they are. They also have there Outlet store there. Pretty good deals!!
  • 2 0
They could do with being stitched all around in my experience
  • 2 0
I would like to see a mens sizing for hose 5.10 shoes... us 14 or 15
  • 2 0
Widths. make widths 5.10, & I'll be happy (SUPER ESPECIALLY in climbing shoes. to get them to fit front/back, I end up having to have a 1/4" of foot mushrooming over the sole on each side at the mid toe.
  • 6 0
Is it just me, or do those new Kestrels look a bit like Golf shoes?
  • 2 0
I had a set of 5.10 Freeriders that took 2 years of daily abuse before I wore through the soles. The newer shoes aren't as nice but I basically don't cycle in anything else.
  • 1 0
Looks like they went back to the old stealth rubber on the Sam Hills? They don't look lighter. Free-riders are lighter but the sole flexes too much and my feet start hurting almost immediately when I ride in them. Glad to see they fixed the toe delamination issue, got a few pairs with bad toes.
  • 1 0
I used EPOXY when my toe delaminated
  • 1 0
getting delam on my freerider contacts, I should have gone with the fully stitched old ones... They are replacing them though so at least they stand by their product
  • 1 0
Just purchased the 'new' Sam Hills in the 'new' look..... face palm

I would have 100% rather taken these Sam Hills in the old style..... double face palm
  • 14 0
So do they wash the helmet liner after it was worn by Loic Bruni, Loris Vergier and Mike Jones. Or are there still sweat stains from Val Di Sole? Odd they wouldn't each wear their own helmet rather share one!!!
  • 12 3
i feel terrible. i cant think of a pun or an insult
  • 51 1
 That's because you're not giving to 100%.

flag carfreak2000 (Aug 27, 2015 at 11:10) (Below Threshold)
I know that feeling of sudden Pun mental block , it's quite Sam Hill to get over.
  • 6 0
Yet another European company who has figured out that waterproof shorts are useful. Like it only rains in Europe.
  • 6 4
The new Kestrel is by far the best looking clipless shoe on the market. Not that I'm wearing my clips around town, but they don't look so much like bike shoes. I also am a fan of the simplicity of lace shoes in a day where velcro wears out and BOA straps break.
  • 11 4
 They look like golf shoes......
  • 1 1
Nice ones but lack toes protection it seems.
  • 1 3
I like them but they don't come off like DH or tail shoes. Those are shoes for people that commute to work and don't want to pack two pairs of shoes. They're super clean looking though. I like the look a lot more than the Sam Hill shoe. I think that shoes is stupid looking. But I'm sure it's bullet proof... function over form...
  • 2 1
they forgot to add, "The new Kestrel Lace will survive up to three weeks of hard riding compared to two weeks for the Boa".
  • 1 0
I tried a pair of the BOA laced Kestrels on and I had a lot of heel lift in them. They have a lot less padding/shape to grip your heel and keep it in place compared to the Impacts which I bought instead and compared to my Freeriders which I had on at the time.
  • 2 0
I hope they have figured out how to glue the sole on this time.
  • 2 0
@Fraser Briton You forgot to mention the Alpinestars shirt swaps out between either a spine protector OR a hydration pack in that sleeve. I'm sure it was just a typo, but have to mention that since I thought it was pretty versatile.
  • 2 0
Double check that. ..I think you can have both protection and water.
  • 3 1
TLD D3 carbon will always be the gnarliest looking helmet with awesome protection as well. I can attest to this after crashing hard on a 45 ft gap and taking a beating to the head with the helmet not cracking, splintering or anything other than 3 small gouges. IMO.....Troy is the best designer out there with the majority of his products. I mean cmon, the D3 fin alone makes you feal like a beast.
  • 1 0
Actually you want the helmet to splinter and crack when it gets hit hard. That is what absorbs the energy before it arrives at your brain.
  • 3 0
Mike Jones is a f*cking beast. What happened to him this year? Crisis of confidence or injury? He started out strongly and then kind of went under the radar.
  • 1 0
Are there any other colours of the 100% full face? Looks sick, but wouldn't mind a complete black, or a complete fluro orange. Also, the bushwhacker has always had a sweet spot for me, but very hard to buy in Australia.... so never got to try one on Frown
  • 3 0
Wow, an entire post without anything to bitch about! Everything is looking good, especially the Bushwacker
  • 1 0
yes but a bit odd that the 2016 colour ways are designed to compliment the 2015 clothing colours......Wink

and the price....ouch..

dare2be.... is there a sport they haven't tried to jump on the band wagon with?? and have they succeeded at breaking into any of them.....
  • 2 0
Although I think the D3 carbon is the best looking and the best protection etc.......that 100% Aircraft does look pretty snazzy!
  • 2 0
Any photos of the MET Parachute Enduro? The Parachute with a removable chinbar would be awesome but they just glossed right over it.
  • 4 0
The pink Met helmet looks like it has a huge vagina on the top :S
  • 3 0
clip in more like a golfers shoe...
  • 1 0
@bizutch We would like to confirm that you can incorporate BOTH water AND protection at the same time in the Paragon Vest. Cheers.
  • 1 0
Sounds perfect for my first trip to Whistler on the 19th.
  • 2 0
Correct me if im wrong but, if the 100% rolloff system sits further out wouldn't that reduce your field of view?
  • 1 0
That was my first thought as well. It seems like a pretty bulky system.
  • 2 0
It probably will reduce your field of view, but it will reduce it a lot less than if your entire lens was covered in mud.
  • 1 0
Now that there are fenders on DH bikes, it's hard for me to grasp why you'd even want roll offs unless it's just for doing countless laps on your buddies rear wheel.

Seems like you'd need 1 or 2 tear offs at most in a run/
  • 2 0
That sam hill shoe will be a good replacement for my current sam hillo five ten Big Grin long live legend
  • 2 0
Removeable chin guard on the parachute
  • 1 0
So glad I brought one last year then.....
  • 1 0
Whats the point of removing it, I ride my super 2r with the chin bar all the time, would have bought the super 2 if I didnt want to use it.
  • 1 0
Those Sam Hill five tens look like just what I've been wanting. 160 a bit steep though.
  • 1 0
That first pair looks like they got attacked by an octopus. Terrible looking. I like the second pair though. I'd buy the Giro's over both those pairs but I'm bias. LOL!
  • 1 0
My feet never got along with his first shoe but these look like impacts and if they've solved the toe de lam problem I'm sold. Never tried the Giro's because they don't look like they offer enough support.
  • 2 0
They could use a little bit more. I wear mine pretty regularly to work. Got a couple pretty long rides in on them dirt and street and my feet were the least of my worries. LOL! But then again, I grew up racing BMX and dual slalom when cycling shoes didn't exist. I used to wear vans and I'd have tap plastics cut shoe inserts for me so my vans were stiffer. HA! I must say though... I'm looking forward to the day my Jimbo Phillips high tops show up.
  • 1 0
Same hear man vans before there were MTB shoes. I also raced BMX but then skateboarding was my thing from the mid 80's up till early 2000 but started MTBing around 92. Have had five ten warranty a couple pairs of impacts for toe de lam but I also use for work which is on high steel. Be good bro!
  • 1 0
Getting a pair of those Sam hill five tens, bought his old model in 2009 and I'm still ripping in them today
  • 1 1
can somebody explain me how do those forecast goggles work? I dont want to brag about it but 95% of the year I have a nice day to ride.......
  • 3 0
they only work with 100%, not 95 bro...
  • 2 0
That aircraft helmet is sick. Might have to try one on
  • 2 1
anyone else find 100% goggles narrow?
  • 1 0
What are you talking about? The've got the best field of view of any goggles I've worn.
  • 2 1
Those 5.10 impact match my bike.... to buy or ot to buy.
  • 3 0
 I'd say buy'em.....
  • 1 0
I could use a pair of 'hill' 5ten's! O, an those waterproof shorts!
  • 3 0
Was that an attempt at an english accent? lol
  • 2 0
No, it wasn't , but that is funny!
  • 1 0
 MET helmets are badass IMO.
  • 1 0
Liking those Kestrels for sure. Never was a fan of the BOA system.
  • 1 0
Finally. A jacket that will show off my midriff...
  • 1 0
i want one of these helmets when are they available now?
  • 1 0
