The time has finally come - the much anticipated Grand Re-Opening of Highland's Flagship trail NE Style. The rope will officially drop Saturday July 13th at 9am!

NE Style was the first machine built trail at Highland back in 2005 and is the most showcased trail as it weaves in and out under the chairlift. Several thousand man hours went into the makeover, adding a fully redesigned B-Line option trail; basically making NE Style two trails in one. The B-Line is designed by the Highland trail crew to allow riders to build up to the biggest features on the main line. Riders are able to pick and choose lines all the way down the mountain.

"Our goal was to bring NE Style back to its original glory and I think we've accomplished that" explains Tom Lepesqueur, head of the Highland Trail Crew.

NE Style is a black diamond machine built trail with two option lines filled with berms, dirt, wood features and more, including the signature feature "SkyBrow". Come see for yourself what all the hype is about on Saturday July 13!

Video does no justice to this place .. if you have balls and ready for some 40ft tables Highland is the place for you . Highland has set the bar for me as I was there last week and left the place speechless , from the trail work to the staff , this place is top notch and must be ridden . It has everything from mild to wild . Going back before the season ends !

The beast is back! I've watched this trail being built over past visits and it's off the chain. With the addition of a second line, I might be able to ride it now.

The B-lines are ridiculously fun, no more worrying about skipping that trail and missing out on the other fun parts!!

Where does it dump off to? Or did they finish it to the bottom

Just above where Power Hour splits from Happy Hour. Not sure if they're going to connect it to Exit 19, but I hope they do.

Thanks for answering. I hope they connect it to the end too, but damn, ne style to power hour, that's a hell of a ride.

Yea, props to the trail builders of NE and all the awesome trails at Highland. As someone who rides Highland frequently, it appears the crew has spent a ton of time on the Slopestyle course (major changes over the past 2 years), NE Style, and Cat's Paw. It appears much more trail work is needed on upper Happy Hour. There are a few berms up top that are sketchy at best.......always seem to be washed out and a huge rock in the apex of the turn (?????). This is a perfect spot for a wood berm. Hopefully with NE Style complete, the crew will be directed to the trail that get's WAY more riders than NE Style and the Slopestyle course combined. I don't like complaining because the place is awesome, it just kills me to see a trail that gets major use in such poor condition.

I know EXACTLY which parts your talking about ... Its amazing how the lower portion of happy hour is tho haha ...

The crew was out filling ruts on Happy Hour last weekend, but it could def use some rebuild on several berms. It's been a rough season dealing with the washout from the rain. Hopefully now that they're done with the pro tracks they'll focus on smoothing out the flow tracks.

happy hour and helion could both use a decent smoothing out. ruts for days

Nice work, these guys need to see NE style for real. I know they had alot of damage like everywhere else around the NE. Always good to have another spot to shred at.

Fantastic job guys!!! If you haven't been to Highland yet, it's worth buying a plane ticket and spending some time there. Amazing place!

Agreed! The B-Line is nice but in our crew the only guy with over grown balls that will hit the A-Line is my boy Mayha. TOM. TOM? You there? Maybe you could add a few feet to the top of the tranny on that deep woods drop so my 41 year old ass can ease into a little ease-ier??? Damn... Amazing trail.

Does anyone know the Height of the drop on the A-line in the forest portion of the trail?
  • 1 0
Drop at the top is roughly 11' high and around 8' across. No official measurements, we measured in body length and figured it out that way.
