Paul Genovese - Banshee Grassroots rider

I'm from Fernie, British Columbia and growing up there was slow at best. We would ski in the winter and ride XC all summer. Thanks to the evolution of mountain biking and bike parks, we have had a changing of the guard in terms of local mountain bike styles and talent. There is a new breed of biker in Fernie and Banshee Grassroots Rider, Paul Genovese is one of them.

I met Paul for what I thought was the first time last summer. But after talking to his brother Nic, we realized that our paths have crossed before. Both Nic and Paul took piano lessons from my mom when my family was still living in Fernie. Paul is a quiet young man who lets his riding do the talking for him. My name is Paul Genovese, I live in Fernie, B.C, and I am 16 years old. I started riding Downhill and Freeride when I was 9. Now I manly ride dirt jumps, because it is my favorite style of riding and a lot easier to see my progression. Since my first ride, biking has been my number 1 passion, and I am deeply committed to shredding!


I have been annually entering contests such as: Goat Style Bike jam, Dert Series in Kimberley B.C, and Fernie Alpine Resort Dual Slalom racing, also this year I will be entering the Gopher style jump competition in Fort McLeod, Alberta, Centre of Gravity (Kelowna B.C.), as well as the Dirt jump contest being held at the local jumps in Fernie during Full Throttle this season.
