It is quite the legendary drop and everyone who has seen it says it's way more massive in person than on film so... yeah he deserves it. I can't imagine how big that frigger is standing at the takeoff but that harsh impact kinda gives it a bit of perspective.

"A GasToFlat moment can be anything from a wild huck to just a flat out shred - whatever you want it just has to be short video edit (15 seconds duration or less)."

gas to flat is a huck, the clue is in the name man, somewhere in the comments it was mentioned, the rider who first coined the term and he said it was a huck, so im inclined to go with my instinct on this one. im not saying the other riders were bad, uite the opposite in fact. but daniel shaw did it right in my opinion. he gassed, to flat. he showed he had balls, and he deserves it more than anyone else.

also the contest is called gas to flat, and says show your best gas to flat edits!

@noxxie - I don't think anyone is disagreeing with what "gas to flat" means. What people are saying is that the contest terms specifically state in the "how to enter" section that the "GasToFlat moment can be anything from a wild huck to just a flat out shred".

All the videos submitted meet the criteria requested by Hope. The difference is that only a few videos show what we wanted to see from a contest titled GasToFlat.

Isn't gas to flat in reference to the car analogy in that you are putting the gas down to the floor ie flat. So gas to flat is referring to flat out riding balls to the wall. Most of them had riders goes all out.

I thought it meant that you're on the gas before a jump/drop etc. so much that you totally overshoot the landing and land it to flat. Like Adam Brayton - Mr gas to flat! Maybe i'm wrong!

You are not wrong. Adam is sponsored by Hope and he set the context of the phrase from an edit of a high speed huck to flat landing. Something that seemed to be in short supply in these edits. Daniel should win IMO.

I love this contest format- it's encourages the 'All Killer, No Filler' approach to video making!! CP Gang always crack me up- they are truly awesome. However, Shaw got my vote with that drop. The sound of that landing was epic!

What a load of crap. First of all baryon christened the term 'gas to flat' it's got nothing to do with hope. If they decide to sponsor brayton and jump on the band wagon then this entire contest should be braytons best gas to flats. That is of course if brayton doesn't mind.

What a joke, most of these videos are crap! Haven't actually seen many #Gas2Flats in these videos either. How on earth this video isn't in the top ten is beyond me. Pinned as hell, loose and a genuine #Gas2Flat all in there. I believe shortly afterwards the rider broke his elbow badly going big for this competition. Such a shame this video has gone unrecognised, oh well!
