The Truckee Bike Park has some amazing and dedicated builders that have put together an amazing park. It started about 3 years ago with just a pump track and then soon through fundraising and building they expanded for upper dirt jumps (Beginners and Intermediate), Lower Dirt Jumps (Intermediate and Expert) and an amazing dual slalom course.
Upper Dirt Jumps
The park is great for the community of all ages. From young guns learning basic skills at the pump track to experts riding the big line it has great opportunity for progression. It's awesome to see such young riders ripping up the pump track and inspired to be better everyday. The upper dirt jumps have 2 small and 2 medium lines that are great for beginners looking to improve their riding skills. One of the medium lines also have a gap jump for riders looking to go bigger before the expert line.
Upper Dirt Jumps - Gap
The lower dirt jumps are for much more advanced riders looking for larger jumps. It offers more opportunity for tricks and progression. The builders work so hard and have truly created dirt jumps with amazing flow.
Expert Line
Ive talked to many locals and builders and it is amazing how they view the park and plans they have for the future. This park doesn't get enough credit than it really should. It is free. Anyone can come and ride, and is in an amazing and beautiful area full of chill and down to earth people. They also have a great irrigation system with sprinklers that are set up to water and maintain the jumps once a day and keep it safe and fun to ride! The builders are awesome and always keep the jumps in great shape ready to ride even with the hot California weather.
In all, the Truckee Bike Park is great for many new riders and offers a diverse and wide selection of jumps that you would not normally see at a dirt jump spot. It inspires many young riders to improve their skill and also challenges expert riders on their big line.
Kids were up there last night and it is great! multi lines. Beginner to more advance lines. Great for all.
