The man's entitled to his opinion. He's also entitled to be wrong. They look great!

I didn't say it would be more fun or would perform better. I said it would help improve a rider's skills by forcing them to consider more their riding style. Since you didn't read that the first time IDK why I wrote it again, against my better judgement. In this case, no I wasn't talking about mounting road tyres, just some thing that would allow mud clearance. Perhaps not 2.5 perhaps not 2.0. Maybe somewhere in between the two. Thank you for your derisive tone. You make PB a better place for everyone.

Slimmer tyres will (obviously) decrease the level of traction and force you to further consider your line choice and body position and braking much in the same way as running a hardtail on a course which would normally need a full-sus. Fabien Barel has spoken at length about the advantages of riding slower to improve your skills at speed. If that makes any sense. Also slimmer tyres with an open tread cut through deep sloppy mud well - which is useful when you're in the UK but I don't know what the trails are like in Goteborg.

If it's any consolation, running slimmer tyres will improve your skills!

THAT. IS. AWESOME. Reminded me a bit of UK brand Genesis' stickers which give advice about how to wash it (like inside a clothes label) - Spin cycles and other such ironic hilarity.
