With winter finally upon us the days get shorter, the nights get longer and the amount you end up riding decreases (if you’re a fair weather rider like myself). Along with winter comes the rain, cold weather and you’re favourite trail usually looking a little worse for wear.
Winter in the South East of England this year has been quite mild give or take a few blisteringly cold days and some monsoon like showers; Leaving trails in pretty good condition for this time of the year; With the ground in places being fairly slick and moist but dry and solid in others this makes for some pretty fun riding.
Whether it's getting the back end loose on a soggy corner or nailing a dry-ish rooty straight as fast as you can, winter in the UK is pretty… Hard to Beat!

I'd much rather ride hard-frozen trails in bright Winter sunshine than be up to the hubs in gloopy cack in a gale while it pisses down so hard that it bounces up 6 feet and comes down a second time....
