I built this bike to see if I would like riding a SJ evo and it turns out I do. Instead of upgrading this one I built up a new one with higher end parts, with the hopes of my wife joining me on this one but she's put 0 miles on it. So it's fairly lightly ridden and ready to go. in 2019 I worked a ton of overtime and used that money to build this bike. it rips down hills, goes up them pretty well and can handle bike parks no problem. I put frame wrap on it before building, and figure you can decide if you want to take it off. No hard crashes on this one, bike just has minor scuffs and marks from a few years use. You don't see these profile hubs around much but they are awesome, especially if you came from bmx. They are super loud and you don't need a trail bell. I bought this bike new in 2019, it's a 2018 model but they spec'd that year better parts wise. I've used it for bikepacking, gravel riding, commuting, road riding, it can kind of do anything. Steel bike with a carbon fork, a bunch of rack mounts, bottle mounts, fender mounts, etc. It has ultegra brakes and rear derailleur with a 105 derailleur up front. The bar tape is this neat kind of fabric tape that's getting pretty worn so I'm including new tape with it. I also converted the quick release axles to "normal" axles to prevent theft so you can have the QR's. You can choose one of two wheelsets I've run on it. Currently it has Roval Terra C's, which are carbon gravel wheels. They have WTB byway 40's on it so it still rolls fast enough on pavement. This is a $1k wheelset. Or, you can choose the Hunt 4 Season Superdura disc 700c wheelset with a real nice sondelux dynamo hub on it. This has s-works turbo tire in 30c on it. I ran it with this wheelset for most of my time on it, it can fit gravel tires still and I powered a headlight and tail light with it, no batteries. Go this route if you want to do more touring and stuff. I have XDR and shimano freehub bodies for this wheelset. This year I've replaced the drivetrain with new cranks/chainrings, ultegra 11-34 cassette in rear, and new ultegra chain. Frame up build of a 2017 Giant Trance. Frame sat for a year or two, then I got my hands on it, rode it for one season, and then built up a new bike. Has typical wear and tear from actually being ridden, but it doesn't have years of time on it, just the one season.
