Pinkbike Poll: Will You Consider Buying a 27.5+ Bike?
given the same tire manufacturer, if the plus size tire weighs the same as the 2.3 version, the casing isn't as tough. 27+ is probably a great tire for non aggressive rider/terrain. I don't think you will see the top EWS/DH riders ride them anytime soon. Must get people off the 26ers to sell more!

Pinkbike Poll: Will You Consider Buying a 27.5+ Bike?
the casing isn't going to hold up. You can't expect a plus size tire that weighs the same as a 2.3 to hold up as well... especially in rocky terrain. Science!

Opinion - Thinkers, Tinkerers, and Inventors
I'm in a skeptical group... lot's of small incremental changes and lots of marketing hype/mumbo jumbo in the MTB world. Look at the all trade mark names here: http://www.pinkbike.com/news/sram-rail-40-wheels-2015.html and don't get me started on the 27+ hype the industry is trying to get us to go. And bad on Fox for 15mm and CTD.

RockShox Lyrik RC2 DH - 170mm with Avalanche Cartridge

$500 CAD
- 20 mm axle with tapered steerer - Fork is in excellent condition (no scratches on stanchions - $600 Avalanche cartridge installed (http://www.avalanchedownhillracing.com/Rock%20Shox/Rockshox%20Lyrik.htm). Better performance and less maintenance than stock. - I went with a 650b bike so no use for this for fork unfortunately.

Aaron Gwin's Modified Specialized Demo
axle paths are for amateurs and "straight-liners"... rear end geo is more important.

I don't mind the brake bumps... it keeps things interesting and if your suspension is setup properly, it's not that big of a deal.

Not sure why people get stoked on smooth trails with DH bikes... keep it gnarly WBP.

First Look: Easton Heist Wheels
go to a bike shop and ask how 26" parts are selling? A lot of lack of 26" hate here but no one is buying 26" stuff. I used to be a 650b hater until I got a new Enduro... 650b is faster.
