Mountain Biking Is Not a Crime - Opinion
@KeithReeder: A lot of trail organisations have a huge pile of "Fuck you" money. How will diplomacy work there? Literally they will not give you the time of day and see zero benefit to your existence. I am just interested if you have any bright ideas here...

Mountain Biking Is Not a Crime - Opinion
It's great to have a trail in Banff, but I wonder how much of Parks Canada's decision was influenced by mountain bikers in their employ and how much one can we take a case there and apply it to California. Is total diplomacy and obeisance the way to live your life when nobody in power is ever willing to bat for you or even answer your phone calls.

The Tuesday Tune Ep 5: Low- and High-Speed Damping - Video
Why isn't there a system with a low, middle and high speed valving? Or even more stages! I mean... More shims = better. Right?

Are you Concerned About the Demise of Bike Shops? - Pinkbike Poll
I'm not sure if irony is the right term, but the banner is a reminder of a recent market move(You can't buy SRAM from Europe anymore) and makes the point that major brands(like SRAM) will be all too happy to destroy online markets like CRC(that ALSO benefit the sport) and enforce high profit MAP agreements(still legal in America, but illegal in Europe) on ideological consumers who are rich or naive enough to buy that red herring about the bike store. What is next.. the Buy/Sell section on this site? It is also stealing business from the local bike shop OR maybe buying parts online isn't why your bike shop is in fiscal trouble. Maybe it's the distributor network cleaving too much profit from local shops. Wasn't it Shimano that dropped MAP 40% this year.. amazing. You think they are still making a profit on bike shop sales? You bet! What is the difference between an OEM Pike and a retail Pike.. Rant over, now to go pay 30% more for a bag of rubber o rings because.. well I don't really know why. Does anybody?

Ergon SMD2 Saddle - Review
Yes, do something about the back of these Ergon saddles. They are comfortable, but too pointy in the rear and the plastic shell is right there... testicle severing device. Ergon please curve/round the shell downwards so the boys can't get hung up on the edge when you get chucked forward while off the back. You will have a winner on your hands.

Inside Fox Float Fork Spring Systems - Video
Ah, yes, that makes more sense. Considering how unusual that failure is then maybe I should go bigger than a 34 next round.

Inside Fox Float Fork Spring Systems - Video
It also just struck me. That line of fork(f32) had a local reputation for being pretty progressive for an xcountry fork - fluid accumulating into the positive airspring? :)
