Pinkbike Poll: How Much Should a Top DH Racer Be Paid?
If only the world operated on an even playing field where it's talent that is the measure. It blows my mind to think of what the top golfers get paid compared to some mountain bikers...don't get me wrong, golfers are amazingly talented, but slopestyle/rampage/DH'ers/enduro riders are pretty much risking everything with the tricks and speed they go. But that's not reality...people don't get paid on talent. What it more comes down to is what people are willing to do for what money...I bet there may be more talented bikers out there but they have decided not to pursue their sport in a professional manner due to less-likely lucrative nature of it. It's hard to know if u will be a top-5 WC racer when u r just starting out....and those are the ones (according to this article) that are making the $. (Although I can pretty much guarentee than the top-5 female racers are not getting anything like $200K). It's a bit sad as it would be awesome to really see what talent is out there, but I also love the fact that a lot of the guys just do it cause that's what they want to do and they can make a living (maybe not a great living) by riding their bikes. Good on em.

Up for grabs is a Ibis Mojo HD (in white) with a custom blend of high end components, including an XTR drivetrain, Reverb dropper, carbon bars, Fox Factory Kashima fork and shock, Stans rims laced to Chris King hubs...all colour coded in classic white, red and black! She's been very well cared for with regular servicing on the fork and shock (Suspension Werx) and minimal time on the drivetrain. Sadly she hasn't seen a lot of action this year. It seems her other siblings have been getting more attention, so I've decided it's time for her to find a new playmate. Here's the run-down on the component spec: Ibis Mojo HD frame with Fox Float Factory RP23 (Kashima) rear shock (Custom tuned by Suspension Werx) 2013 Fox Factory TALAS 160 RLC FIT fork (Kashima) Shimano XTR M985 i-spec 2 x 10 speed shifters Shimano XTR M985 trail brake levers mated to Saint M810 calipers (160mm rear, 180mm front) --- mmmmm, lot's of power! Shimano XTR M980 Trail double crankset Shimano XTR M985 rear derailleur Shimano XTR M985 front dérailleur Shimano XTR 11-36 titanium cassette (10 speed) Shimano XTR chain Cane Creek Angelset headset (1 degree slacker baby) Rock Shox Reverb dropper post Stans Flow EX rims with Chris King hubs Schwalbe Nobby Nic (tubeless) tyres Easton Havoc Carbon Handlebars Thomson X4 (50mm) stem Ergon grips (Pedals not included) I also have (brand new in bag) OneUp 1x10 conversion kit that I'm sure we could work into a deal if it comes to it. Happy to ship within Canada/USA at buyers expense. Let me know if you have any questions!

Unofficial EWS Privateer of the Year
It's great that ibis give her a bike and a gym is giving her membership free etc, but she has to pay for everything to do with racing. She is competing against girls who not only get everything given by their sponsors, they then actually get paid to ride well. So not sure of the definition of privateer but it sure would be great to see what she could do on a level playing field!

5 Tips For Flying With Bicycles
A good tip we learned...get whoever is taking you to the airport to hold onto your helmet, pads, shoes etc. Once the airline check-in people have weighed your bike and checked it in they will tell you to take it to the oversize conveyer belt. So, on the way there, zip it open and chuck in your helmet/shoes/pads that your friend was holding :)

1 Question - What Would You Like to See as the Future of Practice for Enduro Racing?
Yup - it sounds as tho the idea of the top 30 (or around that) not being allowed to ride the race trails a month before and heavy consequences for anyone discovered doing so, is well received by the riders. I also loved Tracey's perspective on shuttling...chairlifts are great and will likely be used in the race anyway, but shuttling shouldn't be allowed (unless it's going to be allowed in the race). And heavy penalties for racers found not sticking to the rules. They could always implement a rule for 2016 just as a pilot year to see how it works?

Video: Exploring Revelstoke With Lorraine Blancher
You know when people ask who you want to meet before you die...well Lorraine Blancher is someone I would like to meet. I have looked up to her for years and hope to ride with her one day. And I think her sister Sarah just got added to that list too! Inspiring women.
