The Argument For Short Travel Bikes - Opinion
Does it really mater. Some people have full downhill rigs because they really enjoy the technology involved. People have always bought motor cycles and cars capable of going way faster than they can ride/drive them. It's like doing xc on a $5000 6kg carbon bad boy, you would get much fitter on 20kg bike. But have the technology is fun. Ride what you like we're you like anything is better than sitting at home reading about home to ride.

Tell you what - best discovery ever!
Saturday, I could barely breath or move without huge discomfort...long story short, Wales Ireland game, lots of Stellas, Come Sunday morning, right as rain! Cured by booze. Next time I jack myself up falling off the bike, rush me to the pub.

Ok, further news is I can either get a measly handful from eBay for a fiver or a whole pack for £20 so pretty small numbers rods wise.
If you're operating on a super budget then the cleaner you make the crack and surrounding area the better, if it's not scraped away the paint will obviously get burnt to a cinder! Best thing - bring it around and I'll have a nose.

Morning.
Yeah, you certainly don't want it falling apart on you half way down a hill do you!
Basically yes, I can do it.
The shrinkage and distortion could mean it wont be as straight as it once was but I'll obviously try and avoid that. Depending on accessibility and location of the crack you could plate over the repairs and make doubly sure it'll never break again etc. etc.
I've only got pretty pure high silicone Ally rods which welds nicely but isn't the strongest material...I've just done some reading up and apparently 7005 is quite crack sensitive particularly around weld and need a magnesium alloy filler rod for best results...I'll have a look at how much I can get some for and get back to you...

Mint! If I have any trouble bleeding I'll give it a go. The callipers have now been transformed into a pile of parts and they're not looking as bad as I first thought. Slightly confused by the double pistons in one half of the front calliper...Either way, a quick scrub and they should be back to fighting fitness. Mrs is trying to get me to go to Nottingham over the weekend but I'll be dodging that as best I can...Hopefully see you Saturday!
