Pinkbike's Burning Question - Should You Support Your Local Bike Shop or Buy Online?
I'd buy LBS stock more if we had one you'd call 'local' in the first place! That's Stalybridge, Greater Manchester btw, if anyone here's looking to set up a new bike shop for 2013 packing it out with everything I'll ever need at internet beating prices, with great staff who will become my friends and have an awesome coffee machine, that'd be lovely thank you!

The Argument For Short Travel Bikes - Opinion
I ride a 6" Nuke Mega which I love and is probably over kill for most UK trail centres although just about everyone seems to be riding Orange 5's and what not. But I recently built a Dartmoor Hornet with a 150mm fork, what a blast! Yes, I had to work harder but this is precisely the point! I was proper connected back to the trail and got the bike off the ground way easier than the full susser. I'd say we're all a bit seduced by travel and tech and features, a hardtail looks dull next to one, so we buy these bigger bikes thinking this is the tool for all the jobs. Takes time to discover your style I guess?

Prototype Ragley and Nukeproof - Eurobike 2011
Built my Mega a couple of weeks ago and since have thrashed it round 'Brenin and Lee/Crag quarry. Got my frameset at a great price and built it up with Revelations/X9/hand built wheels - truly phenomenal bike for the money. The shock is great out of the box and now that I have a bike that fits me perfect (at last) it's given me wayyy more confidence than before! Works for me. Try one first though - some folks struggle with the short cockpit!

Nick's Ride To Recovery
very well done for getting into remission. A.L.L. is a nasty piece of work. Having recently lost my dad to it. He was first diagnosed 10 years ago and we got 10 more years with him cos if the treatment he got in Manchester, UK. Keeping riding man, One Life...Live it!
