Down by the River

@scott-townes for the record, we did a lot of research prior to the trip regarding land issues and everything you see here on Pinkbike was shot on private or BLM land. We actually shot the majority of this story on cattle grazing land and had permission from the landowner. We ended the trip right where the National Park begins. Just a heads up though, I have heard the BLM is cracking down in Green River, especially in the zones everyone frequents (including you judging by your profile pics) that are close to town. A good friend of mine who recently had a VOD from a Green River shoot was threatened with hefty fines and kicked out of the area for riding a zone right next to the highway. If anyone is planning on shooting or riding in the Green River area make sure you have your ducks in a row.

Tested: Evoc 35l Camera Pack

Thanks PB for the honest review. Personally I think it is a bit large to ride around with. I have been running the Burton F-Stop pack for years (after trying out multiple others) and it is the best fit for me. My standard load is 2 bodies, 4 or 5 lenses, 2 lightstands, 1 large flash w/battery or 2 small ones, and all the other little bits and pieces that go along with it. I have even strapped a tripod AND glidecam on it when shooting video. I def think it is one to consider, even though it is not from an MTB related brand. It is 28L size, around 200 bucks, and works with taller cameras. I pack the 1DmarkIV with it. Anyway that's my 2 cents....

Great piece. Perfect song. Refreshing to see such a unique project like this show up in the MTB world. Hats off to you guys! Where did you find the film stock? I have an old super 8 cam I would like to use but haven't been able to track down any film..

"There are a lot of full time photographers that grind it out everyday and take amazing shots and just get by." Karl nailed it. This is the truth... I think if most PB users actually knew how little brands and mags pay for photos they would be very surprised.. We do this because we love it. That being said, a check for $7500 would be very nice!! Game on!!
