Interview: Tippie vs Barel
Fair Play /Cutting Corners: Good time to talk about this topic and much more. Course marking in enduro can not be done like in DH. Stay on the way / trail must be the goal. A race should not bring new harm to nature at natural trails. 3 Meters off would be way to much in German forests. Such rule should not be fixed in a global rule Book. This must be proclaimed by the event. Each has different regulations and agreements with land owners. Those are most important. Enduros bright future should not end in bikeparcs only.

You can go with One helmet, if it is Full Face. But you Must Wear it then all the Time. Manufactures should bring Real enduro helmets. Click on Full Face Protection.
The uphill was on a narrow road. Much Car traffic. Sometimes between car mirrors and wide mtb Bars was only a few inches left.

Video: Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series #1 - Treuchtlingen
Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series has one day of training. Some of the pushing footage is from the training.
The series features the style of enduro from the host area. Treuchtlingen was a combination of local DH trails to flavor the stages with rocky terrain, technicals aspekts of riding plus parts to use the pedals. Stage 4 was a good example. going from flat with some sprint pedaling into steeper and faster terrain.
Finaly the riders where pleased a lot with the race. We had riders from Portugal, Swiss Alps, North of Italia, Dutch and even Columbia. Overall 13 Nations and we never had any complaining. Local track builders used the terrain pretty well.
The series loves to see riders going in groups and keeping the sports soul, conversation on the transfers like in a weekends ride of a bunch of friends. But the challenge in the stages. After all the result was clear and proofed the track & concept was a challenge. Nico Lau won by a propper margin.

Specialized-SRAM Enduro Race 2 - Lago di Garda
Shuttles are not the preference of the series organisation. But we had to deal with it here. Trails in the Lago area are ridden by bikers for more the 20 years. And the public road to Mt. Altissimo has been full of private, public or team/companies shuttles during the week of the festival anyway. We have seen that in the last years. When there was no multi stage enduro there.
With the permission to race on such legendary public trails like the 601 or SKULL we took the option to legalize the shuttles during the training. The series wants to feature the host areas style of enduro. Tomorrow during the race all riders have to pedal up.

Specialized-SRAM Enduro Series, Race 1 - Treuchtlingen
No, the loop was 28 km. To ride around some needed 3 hours, some more then 5 h. but only 6 timed stages are responsible for the result. So its only 10:38,45 min. Enduro is not pure endurance.
