Completely agree. He's the world champ and a poor speaker, I know he's "a bike rider" and not a public speaker but even in hockey we were taught how to adress and speak to media. Not saying it's the same (team sport vs individual) but jeez someone help him out!
Sorry guys but I have to disagree- I think it's a little harsh that it's not enough for some people that he's one of the fastest riders in the world. Now he has to be trained to speak to the media? He's perfectly capable of communicating his abilities when he gets on a bike. I'd prefer him to be rinsing down hills and having fun than taking bloody elocution lessons.
Given that I usually tune into a Danny Hart vid to see him shred not to hear him talk, I could care less about how he speaks. I'm just not gonna pretend to understand what he says....because I honestly have no idea.
we wernt talking down to him at all:S i started by saying how hes the world champ and only has to ride a bike. I also did say he should continue to work on his social skills. Im not talkiing shit its just a way to better himself and set him apart
great video and good to see Danny Hart and Stevie Smith in action
only criticism was the lack of helmets on the Pump Track, a lot of impressionable people will watch this video, and its not good to see Pro riders riding in baseball caps, no matter how high their skill levels
we had some brutal accidents on our publicly accessible Pump Track, and most involved the rider making a tiny mistake, and then being catapulted head first into the next pump bump or berm
I honesty 100% haven't a clue what everybody means about Dannys talking. If he were to change how he was brought up to speak then that's the time to lose respect. His folks will be well chuffed that there's people out there that think they didn't teach him to speak properly. It's called a regional accent, a northern one!
Yea we shouldn`t judge Hart what he needs or not to do, but we can express what we think on things that would be good for him as a person, and not only as A RIDER....
Definitelly knowing how to speak better would be great for him, same way as it worked for me years ago!
So cool to see pros at local trails in socal and to see them all together from difference parts of the world. Pretty cool to how fox has that mini Moto track
Danny makes everyone else look slow, he's a young lad with a regional accent. I quite like that he isn't Mr Charismatic, it makes him more real. That and his sick riding ability!
I love the slow mo shot of the Rock Shox logo on Dannys Fork. What the hell were Fox thinking? I can imagine the guys at SRAM were in stitches when they saw this video. Their biggest competitor doing their marketing for them!
@ scott_townes - its always much easier to catch the lead if you're behind him in the train, danny just looks faster over every inch of terrain in this vid
Judging that you're from England that you've never ridden dry trails before... Re-watch the edit and notice how much dust is coming up. It's a lot tougher to pick a solid line when you can barely or not at all, see the ground.
hey what i meant is if you are the guy right behind, if you're at the end then yeh, you get caught in a cloud of dust - I've ridden very dusty conditions in Queenstown NZ, but agreeably, its rarely dusty in england, maybe only 3 weeks a year - its more the mud in your eyes that plagues the whole train in england! lol (p.s. the Union Jack profile flag says I'm from the Uk, not England specifically, lets not leave out our fellow Scots, Irish and sheep shaggers :-P )
next time im in Cali im stoping by to visit, maybe they can point me in ther right direction to some good trails too.....boyscout is cool but to many lines has no flow
Laguna Beach - I've seen Hans Rey, Brian Lopes (both live here), All Athertons (every winter), Brendan Fairclough, the boys in the video above, Sam Hill, Aaron Gwin, Marc Beaumont and countless other pros...
leave the lad alone. There is always some lowlife that has to try to pull others down, Talking as if they are perfect blah blah.. its very weak
only criticism was the lack of helmets on the Pump Track, a lot of impressionable people will watch this video, and its not good to see Pro riders riding in baseball caps, no matter how high their skill levels
we had some brutal accidents on our publicly accessible Pump Track, and most involved the rider making a tiny mistake, and then being catapulted head first into the next pump bump or berm
thankfully, helmets were mandatory
Definitelly knowing how to speak better would be great for him, same way as it worked for me years ago!
But he does seems to have this total control over everything, it's just insane.
@scott-townes
trails are dusty as hell here in the UK, its only March and we've had a heatwave this week and drought warning already due to lack of Winter rainfall
the UK is not as wet as you might think
and hampstead, that's kinda nuts considering how everyone from the UK talks about how wet it is and appears to be in almost every edit, haha.
How many are riding your local trails gohard?
