@suspended-flesh: The shrooms would also then make you realize that eventually we'll reach the point of recursive application of EV technology to mine more lithium and make more batteries. Along with nuclear power. Carbon intensive is supposed to be transitory.
Also, that's great and all that you can do that, but EV bikes still kick ass. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

My goodness... The amount of closed-mindedness here is astonishing.
It's a different format of racing. Some people enjoy the experience of an e-bike more than a non-ebike. They're both still PLENTY of fun. And the point of it is to race... in a different format. With different equipment. That very equipment is open to any competitor, so there is still going to be extremely tight competitive margins systemically & across the board. End of day, you still need to pilot any bike down a hill fast, and that's always going to require skill and fitness when you're at the top level.
As an aside, have many of you even tried an e-bike before? If you haven't, then hold the "sell more bikes" comments. They still require immense fitness and will exhaust you. Except, the distance you will go can be farther... That's about it. I've owned both and love both.
All up, you guys should be stoked for anyone who wants to ride any sort of bike on a trail. It's people's own individual decisions to choose what they want to have fun riding on. Have a couple shrooms, chill out, & open your minds! Life's too short to be narrow minded.

Jul 13, 2020Kona Entourage CUSTOM, Size M
$1550 USDThis is a 2012 Kona Entourage, size medium, fully customized with Nukeproof parts for a very unique look. It’s in phenomenal condition and was primarily kept around as my secondary bike... I’d estimate there’s maybe less than 50-60 miles on this bike, if that. Super fun, playful park bike, just need to make room in the garage and can’t give it enough riding these days. I will post very detailed shots demonstrating how clean the bike is, and if you have any additional questions please feel free to ask. Please do note that this bike will not come with the fox DHXRC4 depicted, rather the stock Vanilla R, but we can negotiate if you’re interested. Bike is in perfect mechanical working order - I’ve highlighted some very mild toptube rub and a small spot of cable rub on the headtube. There’s a small scuff to the side of the headtube...that’s literally about it. List of specs is as follows:
Rockshox Lyric 170mm fork - See stanchions and crown... fantastic shape.
Fox Vanilla R rear shock (contact me about DHX RC4 if interested - It’s on my trek)
SRAM X0 carbon fiber cranks
SRAM X9 shifter/X7 mech
Avid Code R brakes F/R
Nukeproof bar, stem, pedals, seatpost, & saddle
Blue Jagwire rear brake hose
Sun Ringle MTX wheels
Maxxis DHF front and High Roller rear tire
Serious offers only. I will ship internationally (i.e. Canada), but at the buyer’s expense. You can also pick it up locally here in NJ, and we can meet anywhere in the lower tri-state region. Text or call me.

May 18, 2019NEW SRAM Guide RS Rear Disc Brake (1800mm) (No Rotor)
$150 USDYou're looking at a brand new, unopened SRAM Guide RS Rear disc brake which is completely assembled with hose and ready for bolt on. It does NOT include disc rotor. Basically had it lying around as a spare and never ended up needing it. Willing to let go for $150 shipped anywhere in US, and can negotiate Canada shipping. Thanks for looking. Call or text for questions and offers.

Features:
This is the SRAM Guide RS Rear Disc Brake. The SRAM Guide RS is precision braking at your fingertips, with a proven 4-piston caliper and innovative SwingLink lever technology that gives you more positive pad contact and increased braking authority. Light, crisp, clean and now perfectly compliments your SRAM drivetrain.
MatchMaker and MMX Compatible: Save weight and clutter on the bar with Matchmaker. It holds Avid levers, SRAM® triggers, and various RockShox® controls, all with one tidy, light, clamp--a dream come true for handlebar component footprint conservationists the world over. Available in two versions: Matchmaker™ X integrates the RockShox®XLoc and is compatible with XX and X0 brakes. Standard Matchmaker™is also available and works with any split-clamp design and RockShox® PushLoc.
PiggyBack™ Reservoir: The brake fluid reservoir on SRAM’s latest lever design is optimized for both performance and ease of use. The PiggyBack Reservoir offers a simple, failsafe way to manage brake fluid, and also allows for ambidextrous lever placement—so you can switch your levers on the handlebar and run them moto without hassle.
PURE™ Bladder: SRAM’s brake lever design includes a reshaped bladder, called Pure, that helps regulate and reduce air bubbles. The bladder is specifically shaped to evacuate air from the lever and push the fluid exactly where it’s needed. The result is improved back-pressure relief, which produces dependable braking power and consistency.
Reach Adjust: Brake lever fit and feel is a personal thing. Riders have individual positioning preferences, as well as unique hand sizes and finger lengths. Reach Adjust makes it easy to adjust your lever for maximum one-finger control for everyone.
SwingLink™: Squeeze a SRAM Guide brake lever and you notice it immediately. Less deadband. More positive pad engagement. A unique cam system requires less lever throw to push the pads toward the rotor. That’s great, but there’s more to perfect braking performance than just power. You need control. Many brake systems minimize deadband—but at the cost of modulation. SwingLink solves that with its special cam shape. When the pads contact the rotor, power is modulated, avoiding that “on/off” brake feel. It’s the perfect balance of power and precision.
Timing Port Closure: A hydraulic brake’s timing port is the connection between the reservoir and the master cylinder bore. When the lever is squeezed, a cup seal passes this area and closes the port, which pressurizes the system. SRAM’s timing port closure system features durable seals and an ultra-smooth cylinder bore finish, producing dependable braking power and consistency.
