The Kids Don't Ride
My son started biking at a young age, racing BMX together, traveling to different tracks, it was a great time. But as he got older and into other sports his interest in biking was lost. We have been to the Windham World Cup twice and we had an awesome time together but not enough to get the biking back in his blood. My son will be 15 this summer and his focus is ice hockey and lacrosse. We have traveled all over the Northeast and Ontario playing travel hockey, spent thousands of dollars on this sport and you know I wouldn't trade the time driving, hotel stays, games win or lose for anything. This is his desire to play and I have accepted it and will support him until the ride is over. There are times in travel sports that sometimes things just don't work in your favor and are just plain wrong due to politics or other non sense created by adults. There have been times when I think to myself Wow! this would never happen riding trails or even racing, but this is his choice and you never know he may come back to riding some day.

2013 4X ProTour Kicks Off In Poland
It's pretty sad that these courses are being built in Europe but nothing in the USA. I forgot 4x is dead in the US, slalom is better, yeah right. Other than Sea Otter when is there other slalom races? Hardly ever so which is dead? Good for you Europe, looks like alot of fun racing. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Unsanctioned Races - For Amateurs Only?
Not sure which smaller local events are sanctioned or not, I guess I never payed any attention. Some of these events are becoming quite popular and it sounds like USA Cycling wants these races to be sanctioned which means more $$$$ for them. More rules and regulations are becoming the normal in this once great country.

Ovegur: A Journey to Iceland
Definately on my vacation list of place to visit. How do they afford to keep gas in that Ford Super Duty? They get under 10 miles per gallon here in stock form.

Aaron Gwin Signs With Specialized - It's Official!
IGwin signed a three year deal with Trek but just maybe it was more than Trek can afford to pay him right now. Trek could very well be financially hurting with this whole Lance Armstrong mess. If Lance confesses like the reports are claiming there will be alot of people and companies brought to their knees which will hurt some pockets out there. The economy is in very poor shape and not showing signs of recovery anytime soon so who know what may have transpired since the three year was announced.
