Hey choppertank3e. Check out Peter Sagan then if you think these road guys have no bike skills.
The dude can wheelie no handed, cruise down and up stairs on a rigid bike.
DH and dj's are hella fun, fun going out for a twisty mountain road climb/descent can be a damn good time as well (if you've got the strength and fitness for it).

Hey dude. The temperature used for powder coating is so relatively low (200 degrees) that the steel should be completely unaffected. Remember that welding the frame together requires temps of thousands of degrees. Also the frame material is minimally affected. Thermal expansion is minimal at 250 degrees, meaning minimal weakening. The welds will be utterly unaffected by temps that low.
You also realize aluminum is not a type of steel right?

Specialized P2 cromo
$450 CAD2008 Specialized p2 cro-mo. Almost completely stock parts. Replaced rear wheel with SUN singletrack + hub. Have the stock wheel as well if wanted (bent rim). Replaced the derailler with Shimano deore+shifter b/c I was strapped for cash at the time. DMR moto R rear tire. ODI ruffian grips.
Rarely used to jump, most used for transportation in the city (scuff marks on frame/fork from locking it up, none from crashes)
Love this little bike, super solid and smooth, would keep it, but moved to AUS and couldn't take it with me. It needs a good home where it will see some action.
Rear wheel trued since last ride.
