He is soo fast, I saw him riding in Queenstown, it's nuts. Well, I didn't really see him. Heard something so loud I thought a tree had fallen over. Turned around, just in time to see this blue blur fly past me. And he was gone

Its funny to think, Finn went from being a really good ski racer, gold in GS at Whistler Cup, to being a great downhill racer. Definitely a talented kid.

skiing and biking are super translatable sports. There are tons of professional ski racers that crush at mountain biking too. Plus its the same kind of fun!

i imagine dh skiing is much higher average speed than dh mtb so anyways, Iles is definately used to highspeeds.

Skiing is way faster, the catch is that 40kmh on a bike feels the same as 80-100kmh on skis if you're about the same ability in both.

Rene Wildhaber, who races in the EWS for trek is a professional skiing instructor in the off season, and he is a regular in the top 10 of the EWS

Remi Thirion is a full-time ski instructor in the winter (although I think I remember Warner saying he had skipped this season to focus on mtb).
If you can shred on a bike, you can shred on skis

the feeling I get while mountainbiking is the closest to the one I get from (free-)skiing... that's why I got into biking in the first place tbh.

Its a new velcro adapter that some racers use. Stays on the bike and they attach their race plate to it.

From memory his times at the last round of the WC were good enough to place on the podium for Juniors when he's still a year too young to race - definitely going to be a good one to watch in the future!
