Animation, exhibitors and race teams will be on site the whole week-end. John Cowan, international figure of mountain biking, will be present throughout the weekend to ride the new slopestyle track of Sugarloaf Mountain Bike Park as well as hosting his own freeride event. The competitors/racers will compete for a $1075 cash purse, $5,000 in prize.

This festival is becoming a fixture in the Canadian Eastern mountain bike scene. For the fifth edition of the event, Maaxx Events has planned a series of original and spectacular events. To spice things up, we have added for 2013 a round of the Downhill Quebec Cup. With also the Pro X Sports Air-Downhill race, the John Cowan AM-Jam Slopestyle contest, the Dakine Pumptrack challenge and the Velo Xtreme Bike Shop Chainless race, there is definitely something for everyone.

Dakine Pumptrack Challenge

Time-Trial Event, 2 laps. Men and Women not combined. Hint: Remember competitors that last year's winner was on a hardtail and not on a BMX.

Pro X Sports Air-Downhill Race

This race consists of an individual time-trial downhill run. The particularity of the «Air» downhill is that it takes place on a freeride course, with plenty of 5 to 20 feet jumps all along the way to add a «wow» factor. Top to bottom, the finish is set in the heart of the site.

QC-Cup #3 Downhill Race

Officially sanctioned by the Fédération Québécoise des Sports Cyclistes, it is a traditional downhill race. From top to bottom, the finish is set in the heart of the site.

Velo Xtreme Bike Shop Chainless Race

The "pedal to the medal" statement does not apply to this one. In this race, competitors must bet on their pumping skills to win and not on their shaved legs.

John Cowan AM-Jam Slopestyle

Competitors drop in one at a time and are judge by John Cowan himself according to their performance on the various stunts. The one who has accumulated the most points wins the event.
