Mountain cycle shockwave frame

$275 GPB
Mountain cycle shockwave medium frame for sale. Great bike. Been through a few different builds and is great in each. A proper dh machine, it has tackled fort william world cup track and handled it with ease! Reluctant to sell, but after being offered a Giant Glory at a great price, it now has to go. I planned to re build it as a second dh bike but i do not have the funds and a bike like this should be enjoyed and used regularly! Comes with top of the line Manitou Revox. High and low speed compression adjust, Volume adjust, Air volume adjust, rebound and preload adjust. Perfect condition. Mountain cycle seat post clamp, Race face diabolus seat post, Shimano Saint bottom bracket, Spare rear drop outs, FSA cartridge bearing headset. Expected wear and tear to paint. Play in lower shock eye bush. Marzocchi shivers available also, a great match for the bike. Rear hub available too if needed. Message for details Not much of these around. I have never seen another on the trails here in Scotland. A real head turner. Your chance to give this rare beast a go! Posted within UK or pick up available from Inverness area or Edinburgh. Message for details.

If you have a look at one of the other photos in my album, you will see one of the cartridges stripped. It shows that, somehow, both cartridges are snapped at the top where the clips are meant to secure the cartridge to the top of the fork. I have had to drill out both top caps, push the threaded rod of the cartridge out the top and secure it with the nuts you can see. I had to machine these myself due to the very particular thread on the rod. There is also two internal nuts just below the top caps, these are all working to simply hold the fork together. Before this mod, i could literally pull the forks into two bits! The top nuts are so big because, unfortunately they leak through a point that is meant to be inside the legs due to the fact that i have had to pull the cartridge out the top slightly, so i have covered this bit with the nuts and sealed them with thread tape.
